so apparently Dave fell in love with him at a small college bowl. My read on it is the draft was going so well he used a luxury pick on one of his guys because he was feeling uber confident.

Maybe the Telvin thing added to him being bumped up a round

My thoughts exactly! Can we get eyes on the war room? I have a feeling Gene Smith is holding the phone and has the Jags brass bound and gagged.

I guess Caldwell went with the "no news is good news" mentality. But he is Quinnien William's brother, so Dave must think that makes him a steal

Wow.  Did Gene Smith sneak back into the room?  Why do the Jaguars do this!?!?!  We hit a home run with the first pick.  We hit a home run with the second pick.  We fill a huge need with our third pick.  We then use a third round pick on a guy who will likely do little other than being special team player?!?!!?  Even if you like the guy, at least trade back or wait until the 5th round and see if he's there (most likely).  Awful, awful, pick.

Not my idea choice, but y’all are losing your minds over someone y’all likely don’t know anything about.

And he was literally 1 yard short from having that other INT be a TD as well.

Got to love the kid's attitude and honesty. I am drinking the Kool Aid. I can't wait to see what he brings to the Jags.

I not upset we got this kid. But I had guys who I thought have a much better chance of coming of the board before our next pick and were still available.

I mean, im going to pull for the guy and get behind the pick but im also going to be watching closely because now I am very interested to see what our scouts saw in this guy that warranted a 3rd round grade.

Honestly, I think they took him in the 3rd because we don't have a 4th and he felt he would be selected in the 4th by teams that had him in for a visit. So was it a reach? Caldwell admitted as much. But it was the end of the 3rd and it sounds like they were ready to take him in the 4th, and possibly along with other teams, so it might not be as big of a reach as it seems.

How all these so called experts in these studios don't realize that Quinnen Williams has an older brother going through the draft process? They know him. They was just tryin to be funny and curse our pick. Trying to give it that "Anger" effect. I gotta believe in the pick.

I guess I am just left wondering if we would have seen more of an impact from a big bodied receiver like butler or a highly graded nickel corner/safety in gardner or a change of pace back like Justice Hill. All of which I am almost sure will be gone by the 5th.

I have a feeling that his biggest impact will be on ST which I don't personally place 3rd round grades on. But I guess that's why im not a professional lol.
