ALOT of the CB's they will be facing will be taller, heavier and 4.3 guys with a 10yd burst of 1.50 to 1.51. This is a very different level of football. What got college players open in college WILL be different now. Below I went and got some numbers for everyone just to provide some universal metrics for discussion. I included the tight ends as a reference.  My take is both TE's will be on the 53 as well as Kirk, Thomas, Davis and Duvernay.  The rest are more or less fighting for a spot.  Now it is fair to say the receivers above the line do have a head start over those below the line. I hope I didn't miss any.  Enjoy.

Evan Engram TE  6'3''  234 lbs   4.42  40 yd  1.52 10 yd
Brendon Strange TE  6'4''  253 lbs  4.70 40yd  1.57 10 yd

Christian Kirk WR  5'11''  201 lbs  4.45  40yd  1.50 10 yd
Brian Thomas Jr. WR   6'3'' 209lbs  4.33 40yd 1.50 yd
Gabe Davis WR  6'2''  225lbs  4.54 40yd 1.56 10 yd
Devin Duvernay WR   5'11'' 202lbs  4.39 40yd  1.51 10 yd
Elijah Cooks WR  6'4''  208lbs  4.50 40yd 1.62 10 yd
Parker Washington WR  5'10''  204lbs  4.49 40yd
Erick Hallett WR  5'11''  190lbs  4.50 40yd  1.57 10 yd
Tim Jones WR  6'1''  210lbs  4.53 40yd  1.62 10 yd
Joshua Cephus UDFA 6'2" 186lbs  4.62 40yd 1.52 10 yd
Brevin Easton UDFA 5'11" 187lbs  4.59 40yd 1.59 10 yd
Wayne Ruby UDFA 5'11" 187lbs  4.65 40yd 1.63 10 yd
Joseph Scates UDFA 6'2" 205lbs  4.55 40yd 1.65 10 yd
David White Jr. UDFA 6'2" 195lbs  4.59 40yd 1.59 10 yd
Zay Jones Released 6'2'' 201lbs  4.45 40yd 1.51 10 yd

Your not in Kansas anymore Rook!

Hallett is a corner and I saw Ruby's 40 listed at 4.86; otherwise this is spot on and the issue for those lower guys.

My bad on Hallet. Listing him was a hardware issue. (loose nut at the keyboard) I got Ruby's 40 time from NFLdraftscout.com so I'll blame them...Smile

Looking at he guys below the line "Bo" Cephus should have the best shot as he has a pretty close accelerator. The other guys might have a bit of trouble separating, but who knows.

Oh, I thought that was in regards to Joshua Cephus. Didn't know much about Ruby. I am mostly looking forward to what Cephus can do with his height and speed.
FWIW. Steve Smith really liked both Brian Thomas Jr and Cephus.

'best shot' for most of those bubble guys is going to lean heavily on their ability to cover or return kicks more than it is about separating or moving chains.

See Jones, Tim; also Thomas, Daniel

It's official. Cephus is now our next Keelan Cole or Cecil Shorts.

For good reason. Shipley knows better. Last thing you want to do is talk up someone you may want to get to your practice squad.

Ummm, Cecil Shorts was a 4th round draft pick.

Wish we could get some actual video of Steven Jones as he works out with Javon Foster.

I've see a couple videos where they show Javon doing drills, one of em with Steven.  Nothing where Steven is actually doing the drills.

Considering he's the only other O-Lineman there...would like to see his effort and compare it to Javon.

I mean he's the "camp guy" that everybody gets excited about but has a few good moments and ultimately bounces to a new location.

Cecil and Cole were more then just camp guys though. Cecil was a good player, he was just on a bad team. Cole was a fine player, but again on a bad team. They were both on the Jags for 4 seasons.

If we could get 4 years of that kind of production from Cephus, I'd say that's a win.

Cole was on the 2017 Jags.

Which proves he can catch knuckle balls throw at him. I believe he dropped the one spiral.
