Correct they can't even function in the few limited roles they should exist in.

But to clarify when I say their legitimate role is protecting their citizens that is in regards to foreign invaders. Essentially maintaining an army and protecting the borders. I know conservatives will argue that should extended to protecting against terrorism and that's why we need patriot act like powers but that's a bridge to far for me. If we're going to expect government to stop terrorism the same why they stop Mexico from marching into Texas you have to accept the end of all privacy and individual responsibility.

That's always the argument just how much should we expect government to do and what are willing to sacrifice in order for them to do it. If it's up to me the answer is always as little as possible and next to nothing.

Apparently, it's worse than we originally thought...China stole the personal data of 14 MILLION PEOPLE. And that includes current and retired military personnel as well...

We shouldn't rely on drastic measures like military action, or sanctions on China, but the way that I see it right now, if we don't punish China or the hackers responsible for this breach of national security in some way or another, we have officially become soft.

I'll let you in on a little secret.  We "officially became soft" roughly 7 years ago.

Come on I dislike Obama as much as anyone but let's not pretend we just started bowing to china. Hell Clinton was giving them military technology in the 90s and Bush did nothing to change our dependence on China.
