I know Marcedes Lewis' name pops up every year. I think he is safe because he is a great blocking TE.


Is there anybody that could be cut that we don't expect?

Surprises? ehhhh...

 

I'll throw out legitimate surprises... because at the moment I don't think they will happen.

 

Gratz, Evans, Gerhart..

Actual surprise cuts...hmm...Gonna say Clemons.

I'd say Gratz would be the biggest surprise cut. He seems to be getting a lot of praise during these OTAs, but he's still at the bottom of the CB chart.


I don't see it happening, as we aren't really sitting on an all pro secondary, but its slightly possible. To me he'd be my biggest surprise cut.


After that probably Evans, little less of a surprise.


I really don't see any starting player being cut right now, surprise cuts usually happen when you have a lot more depth, we'll probably be more likely to see some next season.

well, I'm figuring somebody at the RB slot is going to go. Process of elimination tells me it won't be DRob or Yeldon. Unless Yeldon really sucks it's next to impossible to legitimize cutting him because he hasn't even played in a game yet. Even if Gerhart has an outstanding camp, doubt they let DRob go cause he does so many other things. So.....at this point I think it's safe to say one RB will end up being cut. After Yeldon and DRob being safe, it's anybody's guess.

None that would qualify as suprise.

Corey Grant cut and Storm to PS... Not too hard.


The RB group is one of the more predictable depth charts this season

There aren't going to be any surprises this year. 

If there is going to be a surprise cut, it will be Poz. Other than him, I can't come up with anyone.

OP asked for surprise cuts. He is the only name I could come up with due to his salary. I agree with you, I think his job is secure.

Exactly. Guess I worded my post wrong. Only Storm or Grant are in danger of being cut, neither would be a surprise. No chance the other 3 are cut, so I guess his post saying Yeldon would be a surprise, but its pretty much impossible

If Gerhart, Clemons and Evans is cut. I wouldn't be surprised.


Clemons could be chopped but I think that would be a questionable move

LB core is thin. Poz is safe. Mercedes safe. Gratz safe. Not sure there will be any surprises. There's no risk in keeping Clemons. He's gonna get you 8 sacks. Anyone else think anyone else is gonna get 8?

The only surprises to me would be SenDerrick Marks, Josh Scobee, and Jackson DeVille.... everyone else still stinks in my book.
