1.  What evidence is there that Manziel is the starting QB for the Browns?  Hoyer is currently listed as their number 1.

 

2.  What evidence is there the team has any faith in him at all? The team tried trading for Sam Freaking Bradford.

Not smart, but he was being harassed by some jerk so I don't really care.  

 

I'll wait until after this season before I admit I was completely wrong about Manziel.   :confused:

Johnny Manziel was involved in an incident Saturday at the Byron Nelson Classic in Irving, Texas.

Manziel threw a water bottle at an 18-year-old who was harassing him by the Four Seasons' pool. No charges were filed and police said Manziel did not show any signs of being intoxicated. Unless more details surface about the incident, this should be a non-story.

Non story. But because its Johnny Manziel it deserves to be front page news.

The funniest part of this non story was Manziel being heckled when the water bottle missed its mark.

I heard the water bottle was intercepted and run back for a TD

Manziel is just extremely immature

Every time a Johnny story pops up, this is the first thing to leap into my head. Just replace "Jerry" with "Johnny".

When I brought up the pursuit of Bradford, it wasn't to denigrate his passing skills.  I know Bradford can't stay healthy.  But Bradford's ability is largely besides the point.

 

If the Browns had all of this faith in Manziel, and Manziel were truly indispensable, then why would they bother to pursue Bradford to play the same position, to the point of offering a first round pick for Bradford, less than a year after drafting Manziel?

 

The fact is, Manziel's spot on Cleveland is far from carved in stone.

How the Brown's missed the HUGE red flags that scouts and coach's knew and were open about Johnny Football is beyond me.

They were talking about that this morning.  Evidently, Jimmy Haslam is a huge impulse buyer, and it sounds like he was the one that pushed to draft him especially when he tumbled.

How could he resist when the homeless guy told him to draft Manziel?
