Dormant muscle injuries?
So when are the stupid coaches going to learn to click the menu button and turn off injuries?

Quote:Obviously. Same with Marks. And Fowler. Might as well just start looking forward to 2016. I hate when players get a career ending scratch.
Just disband the Jaguars franchise so none of their players get hurt!!!
Lee is in a good place. Marqise Lee has been a topic this week, with the Jaguars liking what they have seen from the second-year wide receiver despite his absence from practice. Lee (knee), who could miss the next couple of weeks, struggled handling injury situations last season, but wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan on Thursday said he was pleased with Lee before he sustained the injury earlier this month. He also said he particularly has liked his approach since. "I was excited about him and still am," Sullivan said. "He's into it. He's been good taking notes in the meetings. We have a saying here, 'No whining, no complaining and nobody wants to hear your [BLEEP] story.' He's been really good about that. From that standpoint, he's light years ahead of where he was last year.' Lee agreed, saying, "It's just another couple of weeks and I'll be OK; I've got no worries. Last year, I sat down and moped about it, but not this year. I'm still getting my mental reps as far as watching and helping out as much as I can."

That's from jaguars.com today.

Yes. They're kind of like insects. Don't you know anything?
He will be fine.

Of course it's concerning. In his last 2-3 years as football player, how much time has he missed? How many practices has he missed? He needs to show that he can stay out on the field.

It's one reason I wanted to draft Cooper honestly. Having two guys coming back in Lee and Robinson that have shown to be injury prone in year 1 didn't give me full confidence at such an important position.

How is Robinson injury prone?

Missed most of last year's offseason with hamstring issues I believe and then missed the last 6 (IIRC) games with a broken foot.

So two injuries in one year where he missed significant time.

That's all I can go by. I know he didn't have an injury history in college, but so far in the NFL he sure has.

I don't think you can use that to say he's "injury prone" soft tissue is common for rookies early. Broken foot is one thing, if he gets hurt and misses significant time this year, but so far you have to go by his entire body of work, which includes college.

By your way of thinking, Fowler is injury prone too.

I'm not saying don't be concerned, its more the label that irks me. When I think injury prone, I think Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Sam Bradford, etc. I won't judge anyone's injuries by their rookie year alone

Well, I did say "injury prone in year 1" ... I know they may not be injury prone the rest of their careers, but the point is that by going off of what we know (and that is only their rookie year), I would've drafted Amari Cooper simply because he was

1) an elite prospect

And

2) our current WR group didn't give me full confidence, partially due to their injuries
Yes.  Rule #1 of any contact sport: Protect yourself at all times.

Injuries can be minimized in more ways than there are injuries.

Btw, it applies on the field too.  Other teams hurt our players intentionally with cheap-shots?  Pay it back...then pay it forward.

Every team in the NFL pushes us around.  We will never be respected until we [BLEEP] for tat.  I oppose dirty play, but there is only one answer for it.  Hit them harder than they hit you.  There is film of everything...  no cheap shot should ever go without retaliation, and we have some debts to pay.

Lee has the physical traits, but hasn't seems to find away to stay healthy....... Like at all. That part does worry you. As for this season as it was last year. First things first, learn the offense hopefully this gives him a little more time in the playbook.

He played in 13 games with 8 starts last year.  And he should be 100% by July if there are no setbacks.

I think you might worry too much.

That seems to be a pretty common theme around these parts.

It will be so refreshing when one day we have something to talk about on here besides all the negatives and can compare notes on how we absolutely dominated another team and are looking like contenders for the first time in a long time. To be able to so thoroughly earn victories that all the media pundits who have become so used to the Jags being the laughing stock of the NFL have no choice but to eat their words about us. To not be regarded in a condescending manner by other fans but viewed with envy.

Man, that would be great stuff indeed... until then, I guess we don't have much to do except to compare wounds.
the guy is always hurt...  i try not to be bugged by things that are expected

Hurt in college, hurt before rookie season started, hurt at the end of the year, hurt at the beginning of this off season..... During lifting and conditioning not even football!!!

Full disclosure I was really hoping for Cooper too, so I guess with Fowler's injury and now hearing that Lee is already injured it has me worried a bit for the Jaguars season.
