His open plea to Dallas is pretty weak and pathetic and overly entitled. A truly great player would accept the challenge at assisting in making a poor team better. Cleveland could reverse it's ill fortunes just like that. It happens. We've seen it already in places like Oakland where the winning was stagnant for a decade+. I don't think Bruce Smith cried about going number one overall to Buffalo in 1985 nor openly stated or begged a team to take him.
We've seen it happen in Arizona and Seattle as well after laying low or dormant for a few years here and there. Anything is possible. It's a privilege to play in the NFL. He should be honored by the fact that he's being considered the number one prospect out of 1,000's of his class that may or may not ever set a single foot on an NFL practice field.

I knew he was nothing special and he's proving it now. All he has to do is get drafted (by any team), sign as short a deal as possible and when he hits free agency, he can go to Dallas. He doesn't wanna pay any dues though. I believe he thinks he's better than he actually is. If I was Cleveland, I'd pass on him and take Allen. I don't see much difference in him and Garrett from a talent standpoint and I wouldn't want a spoiled, entitled, cry baby who doesn't wanna play for my team. He should be happy he is getting a chance to play in the NFL.

God, there's so much to argue with in this post, it's ridiculous. First of all, deals are set already. He cannot shorten or lengthen his deal when he is drafted. Secondly, you take one single thing, he doesn't want to attend the draft, and smear the guy's character. Marcus Mariota didn't attend the draft, either. Neither did Jameis Winston. They're both doing fine, having very nice careers so far. "Spoiled cry baby?" Unless you're his college roommate, you don't know that. He actually stated he's perfectly happy to be drafted by Cleveland. The business about wanting the Cowboys to trade up for him was just a joke. The guy plays college football in Texas. He's probably a Cowboys fan.

You got any more narratives about this guy made up based off a joke video or is that it? Guy is having some fun with the draft process joking about his home town team drafting him. He already said he'd be happy in cleveland. These are like ESPN talking head levels of overreaction.

I could careless about him going to the draft. Personally, I would pull a Joe Thomas and be on a boat and go fishing with family and avoid all the media coverage, but thats just me. That video though is a little weird, I get its his favorite team but come on dude. Would like to see him clarify his comments and say he would play anywhere and be proud to put on that jersey. Jalen wanted to be a cowboy, but obviously he is cool with being here and is balling out. Guess we will see. If he keeps begging for cowboys then it just gets weird.

40 yard dash means nothing for a DE. He was extremely explosive as evidenced by his fantastic jumps, but his lateral movement is not so great as evidenced by his poor 3 cone and shuttles. Also as evidenced by watching his college cutups. He won on inside power and inside counter moves a lot, he rarely won off the edge.
He was still a really good prospect, just not as versatile as a Mack or Miller that can win in every facet.

No one is counting him out, he is a very good player. He's just not quite up to par with the guys who are probably the two best pass rushers on the planet.
