both 27 years old the inside and outside linebackers would be instantly be solidified..

1. Spikes runs like his feet are super-glued to a plank of wood. He might even be slower than Poz. Not exactly a system fit.

2. There's a reason the Jags didn't want Hayes back.

How about no?
Hayes was very average, at best, and has had knee and concussion issues.  Spikes, as mentioned above, is really slow, limiting him to a 2 down LB and questionable scheme fit.  I would pass on both players.

Another great thread bro

We got Skuta.  Wouldn't mind Hayes returning, but meh.  Poz and Telvin will hold down the fort.

are you sure we shouldnt get hayes back and spikes, so that way poz, telvin, and skuta can avoid the practice field so they dont get injured?

maybe we should bring them back so we can do Oklahoma drill every day like real men

Because that's exactly the same thing...

woosh

I think the Jaguars are solid on the LB core with starters and depth.  If any weakness it would be with the SAM position which they had Geno Hayes play and I guess weren't happy with as they let him go and signed Skuta.

Geno Hayes? Solidified? What? Spikes I'd consider. He's a lot like Poz as a player, not a big passing down MLB
Spikes. Gator. IR.
Hayes wasn't a horrible player for us. Positive ranking on PFF last season. He'd be a decent depth/stop-gap starter (in case of injury).

Positive rankings by a website and fitting into the scheme are opposite ends of the spectrum.
Maybe Hayes just in case someone gets injured.

So giddy to see Telvin Smith this year though!

The rankings indicate that he played well last year, and he played in the same scheme that will be used this season. He played well in the scheme, but is not a scheme fit?
Can the Jags still sign Kevin Hardy?
