Of course there is going to be a drop off for the Noles. I don't expect them to win 29 of their next 30 games with a Heisman and national title. I do expect 10+ wins, conference championships, high profile Bowl games and the occasional playoff run as long as Fisher is in charge. No, my "smug attitude" will not change, I will still be proud of my Noles.
Maybe my tone would change to whiny and jealous if FSU suddenly went 4-8 and lost to Georgia Southern.

FSU fans have always been annoying. ALWAYS trying to impress because they are in the ACC.

But I thought JW was overrated, and this team who played ACC cupcakes can be beat by the Jags?

What are you even talking about? Are you suggesting that Florida state could have beaten the jaguars?
Might be time for another message board hiatus for you until the peyote wears off.

Let me preface this by saying I know the talent gap between the greatest college teams and the worst NFL teams is huge. Even great college teams have only a handful of NFL level players whereas an NFL team is essentially 100% pro level players.
That being said, I think a powerhouse like 2013 FSU or Alabama could make it interesting vs the 2012 Jags. FSU would get dominated in the trenches, but they wouldn't need to generate a pass rush to rattle Gabbert. I could see Blaine putting up a good game for himself, say 10-23 130 yds and a TD. But he will inevitably kill off drives single - handedly by curling into the fetal position to avoid imaginary pass rushers.
On the other side, I don't think it's out of the question that Jameis can find Kelvin Benjamin open vs the likes of Aaron Ross. And maybe the Noles get lucky and Rashad Greene gets open deep after Derek Cox pulls his hamstring trying to cover him.
Obviously this is an outlandish scenario, but you can never count on a loser like Blaine Gabbert to win, no matter how far the odds are in his favor. If Henne plays, then FSU has no shot but I could see them beating Goobert 3 or 4 times out of 10.

You was was one of the little ringleaders who said Winston was overrated.
Now all of a sudden you want to double down and suggest the team may sink without him.
