Quote:Linder is the real deal.

I could give a rat's butt about pro-bowl, but the kid can play.

If Cann can match his play on the left side and wiz is even moderately better than Bowanko then the interior line will be quite good.
You're such a homer.  Wink
Quote:Ok.

There's people on this board , including myself, that remember hearing him say it.

When he said that Linder was the best rookie guard he had ever seen, I rembered the Ayodele comment again. We've discussed it here multiple times.

I tried to dig up the audio for it, but I couldn't find it.

The point is: he is known for getting carried away with some of the praise.
You say there are people including yourself.  Every time I've seen this brought up, it's coming from you.  Is it even remotely possible that you may have misheard, or maybe you're misremembering what he said?

Oddly enough, for being such a homer, Lageman and Boselli both have been critical of things that have happened with individual players, coaching, and with the team in general in the past.  I find it curious that when this happens, you're apparently encountering a random incident of tone deafness.

Yes, that's possible.

I have some friends that used to listen to the radio show as much as I did, and they also remember hearing it because I brought it up.

Could I be mistaken? Sure. But now that he's essentially said a very similar thing about Linder, I think that should tell everyone that I wasn't just fabricating the story.

Either way, it doesn't bother me if people don't believe it.

He's not the only one who has offered Linder high praise.  Is anyone who does so considered a homer?

I tend to trust Lageman because I know he's looking at film and doing a fair analysis of the players.  He's not looking at the plays through some filter.

I actually tend to agree with him that Linder is a stud. I do think he's a homer but that's ok. We need homers to cover these games and get us excited for something.

They sure beat listening to the whining and crying from the "fans" who seem to love wallowing in their misery.
Boselli and Lageman may be homers, but their love for Linder shouldn't be used as a reason to support that.

Linder is an absolute stud. If he continues to progress at this rate, he may end up being the best guard in the NFL.

With Fowler going down, I'm sure that population is as giddy as a bunch of school girls.
Linder is pretty talented. Didn't see him getting beat that much at all last year. I feel more secure about him right now than the rest of our starting line-up. That's for sure. I think this big guy AJ Cann we just drafted could potentially end up complimenting Linder and balancing out our interior as well.

If somebody just says everybody is wonderful no matter what, it makes his praise of any player pretty meaningless

Which Lageman doesn't do.

Hey, I wanted Chucky as the Jags head coach.

When fate hands you misery, you might as well wallow.

I agree with that too
