I know it's really early, but i'm old school and like a solid running game and a strong defense, one of the main reasons i've been a huge Jaguars fan.  I am not very familiar with TJ Yeldon, but since the Jags drafted him i've watched what i could find on the internet and he looks very promising and since the Jags have always had a solid run game with people they draft in the first two rounds (The Great Freddy T and MOJO) just wanted to get your opinions on Mr. Yeldon.

Watch NFL Network "Caught in the draft"  http://www.nfl.com/videos/caught-in-the-draft  I don't think I would be declaring anyone the next anything.  The show illustrates how you have to have a strong philosophy that leverages all of your resources to be successful.

I would have chosen 'I don't know' if it were an option.

Agree, and with the game evolving like it has with the Pass first mentality it's unlikely he will amount to the same level as Freddy T and MOJO since the at their prime the offense revolved around them.  IDK, maybe i'm just excited to have a good prospect in at RB since Tony didn't work out as planned.  Also, "i don't know" is too easy Smile

I don't care what RB we drafted or where, without a fixed o-line and passing game, all we'd be doing is chasing our own tail..
Couldn't agree more, but hopefully the improvements and an extra year together will help with the O-line!

Agree, but those areas were addressed as well.

Yes they were, 100%.. They just need to translate on the field now..
Why are people voting no? Blind people who can't see talent can't get online.
im saying no at this point because i have nothing to go off besides college and he has some pretty big shoes to fill if for him to be held in that category.... but i hope im wrong and he has a long, successful, injury free career with us.

honesty maybe idk... i want to vote yes but i feel like i have nothing to support putting him in the same class as fred or mjd when he just came into the nfl last week.

Agreed.  The guy has been a Jaguar for less than a week.  We should at least wait until we get to rookie camp.
Hope springs eternal.  This time of year is fun but we should not get carried away.  I think the talent level might be better but we need to see the results on the field.

'Blank 2' or 'corn' would have been acceptable as well.
I don't think anyone is purposing that he is in the same class right now as Fred or MOJO, but I think based on his size, speed, and the fact that he is the first RB we've drafted since Mojo that can be a 3 down back has room for optimism.

I think he can. Back in the Taylor days we have Jimmy and Keenan and Brady. Mojo was more the work load with no real receivers.
The only real difference on offense is the TE mismatches. But even that back in day Phily and San Fran used that and Dallas.

That's why I voted yes *and* no.
I like his upside, but it's still hard to say right now!  I was very high on Trent Richardson coming out of Bama and he has been a huge disappointment so far.

I voted both.  Because I could.
