Quote:Tyson, Hood, Shorts, Lewis, Cyprien, Toby, (Paul after this year). Ace will be fine if they would just put him on KR. The man needs blockers and we need a KR really bad. Greene may take his place on PR.

I would say guys like Cyprien and Joeckel are under pressure. But the hottest seats have to be Harbor, Beadles and Hood. Overpaid veterans playing the same position as draft picks.

Cutting beadles would be a mistake since somebody WILL get hurt. We need good backups whoever that might be (Cann or Beadles).
Sadly not Chad Henne. I will sleep much better when I know there is a zero percent chance of him trying to run the offense.
I have a hard time seeing Zane cut. He started off slow but played much better down the stretch. Maybe if he continues to underperform at a level not worthy of his contract, then maybe they cut ties next season. But for now, i still have Zane the starter. Ace is gone, would not surprise me to see him released soon so he can catch on somewhere else.

Nobody should get cut unless there are better players taking their spot.

Beadles is good enough to make the team, even if he's a backup.

I'm hoping that the rookies will push a lot of the starters to play to a higher level.  I wish we had a quality back up to Joeckel. He's someone who must step up. No excuses next year.

I don't see Beadles getting cut - we need veteran leadership on the O-line and Cann can develop for a year on the bench.

If the salary cap was tight - sure, he'd be a candidate to get cut, but considering we have to meet the spending floor he's safe this year.

I could see Ziggy Hood and Gerhart getting though, not because of salary as much as not being contributors.

Good subject to banter about but that really depends. Assuming everyone stays healthy, it's not a stretch to reserve a hot seat chair for Blake Bortles. After all, much of this teams fortunes sit squarely atop his shoulders. Personally, if he has a mediocre or even bad season regardless of the improvements of the OL, he could very well be a carbon copy of the Vikings Christian Ponder experiment. And, we all know how that has ended. Enough said on that position. Because the Jags are somewhat heavy at the RB position, the hottest seat belongs to Toby Gerhart. It's put up or shut up time for him and thankfully, as a big TG fan.............I believe he will PUT UP. Again, if everyone stays healthy that deserves to be on the hot seat and TG is one of those. As for anyone on the OL, it is so much in dire need to find a blue chipper...............ALL of them deserve to be on the hotseat. But, at the end of the day since Bortles is so interconnected with the OL............the compass always point to the OL just like last year and that was NOT a good thing. Cheers to a new beginning..............hopefully!

Jonathan Cyprien.  To be blunt he sucks.  He is not smart in pass coverage and misses too many tackles.  He is good when he gets his hands on a defender but too many times he wiffs.

Ace looked to be a home run hitter in the return game his rookie year. Then he got into trouble and suspension wasn't kind to him. When he appeared later in the season he lost his explosive play ability.

Joeckel and Cyprien have a make or break year ahead. Beadles' seat is warm, Josh Evans, LaRoy Reynolds, Ziggy Hood, Abry Jones, Andre Branch. Tyson Alualu was just extended through next year but I think his leash is short. Ace Sanders.

Gerhart is safe. Good size, good hands, best pass pro rb on the roster + no fullbacks = roster spot.
