Just some thoughts running through my head--

Dave is a GM that realizes there is a truckload of talent coming out of Florida. We are fortunate to have a team right in the center of it all. I know Dave is not out there picking guys because they are local and could help fill seats (otherwise hello Tebow ha) but it could inadvertently help us out. Bortles, Fowler, Cyp, Greene, Yeldon, etc are all pretty local guys. I think it was Fowler the other day saying he was excited because his family would be at every home game. This has to help us out filling the 'Bank.

Lamping and Khan have been giving it their ll these past few offseasons with the caravans, etc trying to stretch out our fan base. This can only help. When we go and visit certain areas we already have guys from that area that are beloved. Gene Smith always tried to be too smart with a lot of his picks. The talent was right under his nose, within a few hours of Jacksonville.

And this is getting a little far fetch now--but when it is time to re-sign some of our guys a few years down the road, you always hear about maybe the player will give their team a hometown discount. It might help us out some if Jax is not only their football town, but also their family town.

Not very scientific data here-- just a happy fan that is glad to see the right things being done for our team that could maybe pay off in more ways than one.
