<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">I was reading Gil Brandt's list of best available players going into the second round and reading this description screamed Otto to me:
<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
6) Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia
Vitals: 6-3 1/8, 247 pounds, 4.58 40.
<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">In my opinion, he's the best slash player -- able to play with his hand on the ground, rush the passer or drop into space -- available, and that's the type of defensive player everybody is chasing. He was very productive at Virginia, piling up 54 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks and a pick in 2014.
<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<p style="font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">That said, what do you guys think?
I think Otto gets addressed later on, especially because we just signed Skuta to fill that role. Probably a developmental type in the fourth or fifth round.
The second rounder will be a RB, WR or DB.

I like Harold but it just depends on whether the team decides to go RB at 36. I've been reading that there could be a run on them at the top of round 2. If they have a guy in mind who fits at 36, it may be risky to pass him up. So I think an OTTO will be added in the mid-late rounds. Especially with Skuta in the fold for now.
Davis Tull, Markus Golden, Kyle Emmanuel Deiontrez Mount... the list goes on. These guys can all be had in rounds 4-7.
Harold would be a solid pick, however Jags fans would be irate at not taking an offensive skill player.Hopefully Caldwell doesn't care what other's think and takes the BAP.

all depends where the value is. if harold is a guy they look at and they think, 1. surprised hes sitting here for us at 36 or 2. hes a significant upgrade to skuta, then yes i could see that happen.
same deal for coleman, 1. coleman is here? 2. hes a lot better than all of our other RBs?
in my mind though, the biggest upgrade that we could add would be at FS, but are the available players at 36 worth it? or is that a huge reach and it makes more sense to get the RB there.
thats why these guys are paid the big bucks.

Why should he take the BAP instead of somebody we actually need? There are guys who fill needs and are pegged as early second round picks by draft experts.

Let's hear why a guy that hasn't played a down in the NFL is a bust. I'd also like to hear it. What from the tape screams that he won't work out.

HE SAID....HE DOESN'T EXPLAIN REASONING TO THE DEAF! ARE YOU DEAF!?!
I would rather draft our Otto next year. A versatile LB wouldn't be bad, especially if he can do MLB for us in the future.
Scooby Wright III most likely comes out next year. He had 99 solo tackles, 64 assisted tackles, and 14 sacks this past year. I think he would be a great Otto.

Like getting the fowler pick right?

So you, along with 70% of the draft experts(I use that term loosely) and general populace?
So who do you guys like in round 4 or 5? I see a developmental guy being taken in those rounds.
