Would you say 4-7 sacks and multiple pressures? I'm curious as to what would define a successful rookie campaign for Fowler.
I would say 4-5 pairs of shoes would be a good season.
Stats are nice but it would be great to have a defensive player that opposing offenses have to scheme for and design a way to beat. If he affects game by stuffing the run, pressuring the QB, knocking down passes, geting TFL, that would be a home run pick. The Jags haven't had that type of defensive player in awhile.
Stay injury free. Play 250 snaps. Anything above 4 sacks would be gravy.
Not gonna be an elite pass rusher, but still a good player. Similar to Khalil Mack. Id be happy with 4-7 sacks his rookie year but also he needs to be disruptive in the run game.
I'm expecting DROY, or at least in the conversation... I don't see him getting that type of recognition unless we win 8 games...
But just based on his film that I saw last night, I think this young man can be special. I like his style too.
I think he can get 6-10 sacks and be a key piece to an improved defense.
I gotta admit this dude gets me excited. Even more than when we drafted BB5

I think for me the best part is that he seems to be very confident, almost to the point of cocky. Other than MJD have we ever had a guy like that in Jacksonville?

Its been awhile. Maybe Mike P? And its much needed. Every team needs a guy with that attitude.
does anyone want to post gifs of like 2 of fowlers plays so we can validate this pick?
Getting rid of that suit. And more than 5 sacks, disrupting plays, bringing pressure.
I expect him to make lots of friends and to have fun.
I'd expect the type of season Khalil Mack had, the numbers won't jump out at you but he will cause a lot of havoc and by the end of the year you'll be real excited about his future.

You pick him at three, you have to expect elite pass rushing. We can't give him a pass before he even starts. That would be like saying Bortles doesn't need to improve, and that we hurry up to re-sign Joeckel since he's on "pace" to be the guy we drafted.

And to bring orange slices on game day.
I had him as a "meh" guy so I'm ok with the pick. I'd prefer Williams/Cooper/Beasley(strictly as a leo)
Fowler brings flexibility to the draft if another Leo is there at 36 or later he would make a dominant Otto. Like someone else stated I don't see him being a 10+ sack guy but if he is close to Mack I'd be estactic with the pick.
Lageman is gonna have some fun convincing us he's worth #3 pick this season! :woot:

That's exactly what Caldwell was looking for!
I expect a bust
write it down, amari cooper will be in the hall of fame
