<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:Arial, sans-serif;">If, as I reported earlier on
@nflnetwork, Jags look to trade back into latter part of 1st round, might target an OL to protect

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:Arial, sans-serif;">
<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:Arial, sans-serif;">From the 2nd round back in to the first.
I doubt it will be an OL prospect. Probably a RB

Or one of the edge rushers who slip.

NFL.com's Mike Silver reports the Jags may be interested in trading back into the first round, even after they select at No. 3.
If the Jags draft Leonard Williams or Amari Cooper, they could target a big-time pass rusher to fill their "Leo" hole late in round one. The Jags also need a running back. "Keep an eye on the Jaguars late in the first round," Silver said. "There are a couple of players that they might target, if they are still there in the 20s. They may try to trade their fourth overall pick in the second round and move up to get back into the draft."

I hope not don't trade back in for one of these red flag guys, yes the talent is there but the mental capacity is not! To know the exact date of things like the combine or the draft and to not be a boy scout tells you the guy isn't the brightest bulb in the bin.
Wouldn't shock me at all, especially if we're down to one of the top-shelf edge rushers or offensive tackles on the board.
Ereck Flowers or Gurley/Gordon? Honestly haven't looked at these players given that we have 7 picks and Caldwell's success outside the first rd
Plz be for Owa Diggy. If it's for RB or OL that would really suck.
Fowler then we would trade back in for a WR
Cooper first and we trade back in for a EDGE guy
The common thought I'm gettin is that you can wait and still get the RB your targeting
The only edge guys I see sliding to where we may trade up are Beasley or Dupree. No way do we trade up for Ray or Gregory

not going in the first round.
Any chance we trade up for a DB? I expect there's going to be a run on them after the midpoint of the first rd.

there becomes a point where even with guys with red flags drop, the talent makes the risk worth it. so if marcus peters was to slide down to the bottom of the first, i wouldnt be surprised.
The interesting thing about trading up into the 1st round is that it would give us the 5th year option. First rounders have that 4 year contract with a 5th year option.

If they're trading up, it's to get an RB or an edge rusher.
A guy like Nate Orchard may not last til 2nd.
Btw where is this information coming from. Did Caldwell say this?

I doubt that is on Dave's mind right now. If he trades back into the first round, it is because we like a player who will not drop to #36. But that would be a nice side effect if our second first round pick is good during his first four seasons.
