turn down the trade offer from Cleveland (speculated to be the 12, 19, and Cleveland's first next year), and instead of taking Mariota for themselves, they take Leonard Williams, leaving Mariota on the board at 3.

Would you accept the deal?

What if it was for the 12, 19 and the 43....or 12, 43 and next year's 1st?

In other words, for one extra spot, would you be willing to accept less from Cleveland (or anyone else?)

Would going down to 12 represent too much of a drop?

Would the fact Tennessee rejected the deal influence your decision to accept the same deal?

If what we're hearing about the DE's is accurate and that there isn't much that separates the top 5 or so prospects then I say absolutely take that deal.  We'll probably end up with one of the remaining DE's or Gurley at 12 plus several other additional high picks.  What's not to like?

I don't know which scenario I like better... Williams at 3 or Cooper/a trade down haul.
I don't know if the Jags would get many trade offers with the 3rd pick for Marriota. Teams know we just drafted Bortles and they'd prolly try to trade for the 4th pick, which would cost less anyway.. I'm thinkin 5th with the Redskins..

Though I'm sure I'm wrong..
12, 19, 43, maybe. Next year's first and 12 and 43 no. Cooper or Williams are sure fire day 1 contributors, it would take a lot to get me to trade back. While I'd love Gurley at 12 it's almost sounding like he'll be gone then.
Nahhh get the better value at 3..

The Titans would be dumb to turn that down.  Won't happen anyways, because like others said, Browns know we won't take a QB.  They would probably wait #4 or #5, and we would be out of luck again.

But yes, it a heartbeat I would take it.  #12 Todd Gurley, #19 best available LEO or Phillip Dorsett and get a LEO at #36 (Eli Harold, Danielle Hunter, etc)

12, 19 would be nice

I'd consider 12, next year's first and an assortment of day 2/3 picks.
Throw in Tashaun Gipson and we have a deal.

and you'd be getting ripped off

This would make my weekend. He would be a huge addition to the team. The missing link to make the defense click.

I didn't say I'd take it. I said I'd consider it and honestly since Gurley won't likely be there at 12 I wouldn't do it.

Take Cooper at 3 and move on.
Hmmm, I think I'm just ready for the draft to start and I'm sick of all the speculation and rumors. I don't think there's been a rumor that hasn't been discussed at this point. Granted, I've contributed mightily to the speculation and rumors but still. Let's get it started already!
Yes, yes, and yes.

The tacks would have to be crazy to turn down the trade for 3 #1s unless they really think Mariota will be a great NFL QB and draft him themselves.

(maybe the trade offer is contingent on Winston being there at #2)

According to the draft pick value chart, to give up the #3 pick, 12 and 19 is not enough, but 12, 19, and 43 is too much.     12, 19, and an early 4th round pick or late 3rd round pick would be about right.

BUT- you have to have players targeted at 12 and 19 that you think will probably be there.

ACTUALLY, I think such a scenario is highly likely.  The way Tennessee has been playing this, if they really liked Mariota, they wouldn't be making such an effort to gin up this trade talk.   I see a very high likelihood that Tennessee takes Williams with the pick, and Mariota drops to us.   And then what?   Caldwell has said he wants impact players this year.   Are there any such players down at 12 and 19?    I wouldn't mind dropping down to 6, but 12?  Personally, I would say no.   Just draft Fowler or Cooper and we have our impact player.

Give me 12, 19, 43 and Gipson and this would make me and a lot of Jags fan very happy. We would land a FS which is much needed. We could possibly land Gurley. We could trade up into the top 10 from 12 with the 43rd pick to get a player like Gurley or Dupree? 19th pick could be used to pick up solid OL or LB. We still have our 2nd rounder to get more depth or LEO. We have many options. We can say either you give us 12,19,43,Gipson or we will trade with Jets or Rams as they want Mariota. What do you guys think about that? Seems like I'm asking for too much but this is the NFL and for a QB you gotta give up a lot!!!!!

Yea man! I'm right there with you!

GO JAGS!!
Nope

Either trade Bullseye mentioned in the opening post would probably be good enough for me to make the trade in the Jaguars position.   The 2016 Browns 1st Round pick could easily be gold,  making that trade scenario even more appealing than the other one.     However,  if not for the character issues with Randy Gregory and Shane Ray,  I would make either trade without even hesitating.   I think a big winner from the Gregory and Ray situations is going to be Bud Dupree.
