I hope we would get more than just Bennett for trading back. And I don't think Dave would be able to get a 4th or 5th for Lewis.
Id maybe trade a late round pick for him but no way the third. Not fond of swapping picks with them either really.

Interesting. Trade them our pick for theirs and Bennet, still draft Beasley, trade Lewis for a 4th or 5th.
Thomas and Bennett two TE sets sound better than Thomas and Lewis
Would be nice, but how in the world would this benefit the Bears? They would have a slightly higher draft pick, but one more need and still no QB.
Unless they really want Williams or Dante Fowler at #3 when Winston and Mariota go 1-2, I don't see it.
I could see the Falcons maybe giving them a 3rd round pick for Bennett.
Trade for as number 2 TE?
A total waste of value. Not going to happen.

Agreed no way we have to many other needs
I agree it won't happen, just saying I'd be OK dropping back 4 spots if it did.
Why isnt Lewis on the trading block?
Let's trade them Lewis straight up

How do you know he's not?

I would say his salary, but they fixed that.

I don't know he's not, but I'd guess not because he took a pay cut.
Some may say that opened him up to be traded... but why trade him when there is no clear better option for our #2, yet.
----
If someone was offering something worth anything by now, he'd be gone
If we draft someone that could replace him, he could still be traded.... but I don't think he's a bad #2 TE at this point... let him retire a Jag.

I honestly dont know but can you find somewhere that report that he is? That would make me happy!

no.
Why do you need a reporter to validate this? If it happens, it happens. I'd prefer the team keep their business dealings quiet in order to pull off some sort of a coup.
Just because it's not in the media, that doesn't mean they're not entertaining options.

Idc about anybody else they keep secret on the team except Lewis.
