"Personnel man" is one of the vaguest terms I've heard. Could be a janitor or the guy that gets the coffee for them.
That being said, I would not be shocked at all if he's the pick.

Well if that's the case we're taking four or five different players at three PLUS trading down.

I really like the Cooper pick. I think Cooper/Williams/Beesley/Fowler are the "four" we'll be picking from unless a trade comes in.

We need to find a rumor that we're trading up so we'll have all our bases covered.

Drafting Cooper, Williams, Fowler, Gurley, Beasley, AND picking up extra draft picks via trade down? What a haul!

Bold declaration of the day:
I'm positive we're taking either Williams, Cooper, Fowler, Beasley, or White at 3...if we don't trade down.

Could also be the homeless man that the Browns consult.

Im not sure if it will be as much of a "surprise" as last year. Jaguars i feel like really just want to get the best player possible at the top of the draft. Leonard Williams or Amari Cooper are those guys. Dante Fowler comes into play if Leonard Williams is off the board.
A trade would be a "surprise" but i really at this point don't want a trade baring a team mortgages their draft to us. I really want a top player in this draft. Maybe they pick Cooper over Williams which would not surprise me as Caldwell is still a "needs drafter" in my eyes. I think WR flew under the radar for most of the draft talk this year because we drafted WR in the 2nd round, but none of them really excited us. Whats even more ironic is, the undrafted guy flashed way more than Robinson and Lee. While Robinson was consistent (when healthy) he was definitely not a game changing player, Lee took forever just to see the field and both had injury issues. Jags really wanted Randal Cobb, so going WR early should not be a surprise.
Remember a few years ago? "We are fine at WR".......Im seeing that same talk again, only thing is, WE ARE NOT. We need playmakers, we need guys who can stretch the field, absolutely Blake will need some help, if Allen Robinson or Marquis Lee showed they were great players, we would not be having this discussion. But they did not, and we still have a glaring need at WR. You take Cooper if you think he's the best player at a position of a need.
Now that Gregory and Ray have blown their chances of a first round selection ( most likely) it makes even more sense to go offense in the 1st or just take the best prospect in Leonard Williams. We could easily snag Shane Ray in the 2nd, take a flyer on him.
Id love Cooper in the 1st and Ray in the 2nd.
