Quote:“I think Cooper is the top receiver prospect this year,” Cosell writes in an item for Yahoo! Sports. “But if you asked me who is No. 2 among White and Perriman, that’s a tougher question. I really like Perriman. I heard an interesting comparison on Perriman from a scout the other day: Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas. I can see that. Perriman is a big powerful, explosive, fast guy. Although he and White are about the same size, on film Perriman looks like the bigger guy. I could see ranking Perriman even with or ahead of White, although I’m in the minority on that.”

Perriman has the skill set to be the best WR of this class although I don't think he is personally. Then again who thought Odell Beckham would be the best WR out of last years class of Watkins, Evans, and Benjamin?
*second-best

I still think Amari Cooper will be the best receiver to come out of this year's class, with White a pretty solid second.

I could be reading this wrong but isn't he saying Cooper is the best receiver?

Your title is incorrect to the article.  He thinks Cooper is the best, but puts Perriman slightly ahead of White.

*2nd best. My bad.

there are times when perriman looks like randy moss on the field..... there are also times he looks like troy williamson.
Yeah I saw that, Cosell's slide toward senility continues. Dunno what happened to the guy that was seen as the cream of the crop draftnik for so long. I know I said this the last two years on here too, but I really think he just isn't putting in the work anymore.

He is senile because he said Perriman is better than Kevin White?

How dare his opinion differ from the guys you follow on Twitter.

His job is literally to watch football. I'm sure he's putting in the work.

pffft well the spider charts say that kevin white is basically a braylon edwards clone, and perrimans is incomplete.... so i guess we are flying blind here!

He has been saying more crazy stuff the last few years than anyone.

Like what? I see alot of people like to bring up he said Ryan Nassib was the best QB in the class of 2013. But is it crazy to think Nassib is better than the likes of EJ Manuel, Geno Smith and Matt Barkley?

Your the one that knows nothing about the draft and this has been evident the past few

Crazy was the wrong word, he's just trying too hard to be contrarian.

What are your examples? I don't think the Nassib one is unreasonable considering how bad overall the 2013 class has been.

I keep a ton of draft related lists, but unfortunately specific examples of Big Draft opinions is not one. I just know that years ago Cosell was the pedestal that everyone else aspired to be on, and for the last 3 or 4 years he has said more things that raised eyebrows than anyone else (except maybe Lande)...by a comfortable margin.

Also was quite disappointed when he said he usually only watched 2-3 games on a prospect before he moves on to the next. Most people I hold in the highest regard watch every game of a prospect, and many games multiple times, before finalizing an opinion. I don't think you can draw a proper conclusion from watching 5% of a players snaps.

It only takes 2 or 3 games to know if a player has it or not
I disagree. He's not in my top 5. I haven't been a fan of Cosell this year.

I'm not saying you have to watch the whole season, especially the cupcake games...but I think you need at least half a season minimum (plus I would prefer a few games from previous seasons for reference) to make a fair judgement.
