Quote:White. White is a true game changer receiver. Cooper is good but doesn't come close to the ceiling White has. I'd rather trade down a few spots and take Parker than pick Cooper at 3.I disagree with this, I think Cooper's ceiling is just as good or better than White's with a higher floor also. Not to take anything away from White but Cooper is that good

Cooper. I'll take that impeccable route running if it means he's not the tallest receiver out or the best run blocker.
Kevin is great too. He's gonna be an animal somewhere

Chris Carter on Cooper and I agree with him
"I don't know what he's going to do in the pros, but since Ozzie Newsome, Alabama has the best wide receiver that they have had in the history of their school and his name is Amari Cooper," Carter said on the "Mike and Mike" radio show Monday, according to bamaonline.com. "He is a true junior from Miami, and he is fabulous. His ability to run routes -- I met Amari when he was in high school at a football clinic and he's probably the most advanced wide receiver that I have seen at a young age since Randy Moss. He has unbelievable speed, unbelievable demeanor, route running, the sky is the limit."
Along with the Randy Moss comparison, by calling Cooper the Tide's top receiver since Newsome, Carter is also putting him ahead of Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones. Jones starred at Alabama from 2008-2010, and was a bigger and more physical presence than Cooper. But Jones' hands weren't as reliable as Cooper's at the college level, either.

Quote:Isaac Bruce may be a better comp if you're leaning in that direction. What makes you think Bruce is the better comparison than Holt? Holt in his prime was the the better route runner, faster, better after the catch, and had better hands than Bruce. Only if Holt could of had a career the length of Bruce. Bruce was a stud no doubt but even as a prospect coming out I think Holt is the better comparison

Now I want Cooper at 3. Hurry up draft so I can stop flip flopping on who I want the most!

Only that I believe Bruce's route running was top notch. Not that Holt was a slouch because he was amazing in his prime, but Bruce was smooth as silk. He wasn't as fast as Holt but his route running is what allowed him to separate himself from would be defenders. Cooper's route running is already almost on that same plane, IMO. That's the only thing that separates the two comps for me. I still like the Harrison/Smith comp the best though. Regardless he's the best WR prospect in this draft and probably since AJ Green.

If he's a bigger, stronger Marvin Harrison - you draft him at 3.

I would love to have Cooper at 3 but I don't think Caldwell makes that move. He is going to be a stud in the NFL.

On sports science, Cooper had the fastest top speed in his 40 yard dash they have ever measured, and his agility drills were also top notch. I wasn't expecting that.

not sure why people say he has good but not great athleticism. He has it all.

I like Cooper a little better. Cooper can line up any where and is a great route runner, that will help a young QB.

I see a faster Reggie Wayne

I just watched the Cooper vs White Sports Science......some people hate it, but I really think Sports Science is top-notch. Have been on the White band-wagon, but may be leaning more towards Cooper. SS said White compared with Julio Jones and that Cooper compared with Antonio Jones. Could live with either of those.
