Quote:Randy Gregory. Surprised nobody said him. He's arguably the best fit for the LEO and Caldwell is just crazy enough to take him at 3.
Gurley and Dupree also.
Gregory or Dupree would be the more probable actions that would surprise me the most.
Rico being drafted would make me want to throw up.

I hear the Browns want to trade up for Rico.

Trae Waynes. Our CB positon has been ignored for to long

The Factory of Sadness. It makes sense!
Think we can get a ham sandwich? I'm awful hungry.

Quote:Amari Cooper would certainly shock the heck out of me.I wouldn't be that shocked. He's one of the best prospects in this draft and it's clear that Caldwell wants to surround Bortles with as much talent as possible.

Winston/Mariota if available.

You are joking right? They spent a 3rd rounder in 2013, a 4th rounder in 2014 on a cornerback and just gave Davon House a ton of money.

Trae Waynes (CB) or Landon Collins (S) sure would be a shocker to me

Why can no one support Trae Waynes? He's a legit No.1 Corner. He's my pick I'd like if we trade with CHI

Wisconin's Melvin Gordon

Ok, I was pulling for White or Cooper. But I now think I am leaning more towards Gordon. Until I see Gurley fully rehabbed, I don't like the risk. I see our need to have an "elite" RB more important than White or Cooper at this point. And I think Melvin Gordon is on a different level than the other backs in the draft. We did get Bortles another target in Thomas, and could get another WR with our second or 3rd pick. I want Gordon at all costs.

I think Randy Gregory would be the most surprising to me.
Given the Blackmon issues of late, taking that kind of risk would be a surprise.
Another surprise would be ANY RB @ 3.
And a less surprising surprise would be WR @ 3.
I wouldn't be surprised by OL, though I wouldn't like the pick.
And any edge rusher (save for Gregory), no matter where they are mocked wouldn't surprise me because while mocks have a general good idea, rarely are they on point and often you find people missed mocking talent, etc.
For all I know Caldwell has his board nothing like anything we've seen.
And while it might surprise some for Dupree to be taken, if Caldwell has him ranked that high, that isn't a surprise. I didn't think he had Bortles as the top QB prospect. What the heck do I know this year any different?
I think in round 1 he clearly goes for need. I think he has a high grade on the edge rushers and I think his favorite, if available, is who he takes at 3.

According to sportingchart.com, Chris Clemmons had the most "hurries" for the Jags, but placed him only 60th in the league overall. The Jags got sacks last year, but too often, the opposing QB had time to throw without pressure. Putting this pressure on the opposing QB leads to them to make bad decisions and helps significantly with interceptions. The defense tied for last in the league in interceptions with 6. The team was dead last in the league with passes defensed. Acquiring House at CB and letting the youth there develop a year will help, but the team has got to put more pressure on the opposing QBs.
I don't see the players to produce pressure coming from outside round 1. My surprise is anyone not an edge rusher.
