that you would be willing to trade up into the bottom of the first round to ensure the Jaguars acquire?

 

Would your answer change if we traded down from 3?

 

Would it change depending upon who we drafted in the first?

 

For me...

 

if we somehow go offense with the first pick, I might deal up for Nate Orchard.

 

Or...if a RB like Gordon were to fall really low in the first...maybe.

 

Is there a player who, if he were available to us in the 2nd, you would take with no hesitation?

 

Is there a player who, if we drafted at the top of the 2nd, would cause you nausea?

If Gurley would unexpectedly fall I would be willing to trade for him.


Good question because I don't think any team would want to get "Bridgewatered" like the Vikings did the Texans last year.

One reason I posed the question is while thinking about Tampa in a fanspeak.com mock, I thought many of our needs overlap.

what team do you think we would have to jump ahead of to get Perriman should he fall?  I would think Tennessee at the top of round 2, maybe New England at the bottom of round one at minimum.

Baltimore most likely, Steve Smith is about 70 years old and Torrey Smith has gone. They'll be in the market for a WR.

Not sure I'd be willing to go that far to get a WR, especially in a draft arguably as deep as last year's class.

Only way I'd trade back into the first for a WR if Devante Parker is still there late

I don't think it'd be worth it but as I said it would be tempting to link Bortles and Perriman up again.

I wouldn't take Perriman with our 2nd round pick let alone trade up for the guy.

Eric Kendricks or Gurley for me. I think Kendricks can be a all pro MLB

If Gurley falls past the Chargers which I don't think will happen and he's there around 20 I'd love for Caldwell to pull the trigger. The knee doesn't bother me.

Would either of you have no problems dealing up ten spots for Gurley, even if it meant giving up a 3rd this year and a 2nd next year?

I really like Nate Orchard but I think he will be there in round 2.

I'm a big Gurley fan and think he's one of the safest players to draft this year. I also think he has the best chance to become a perennial pro bowler possibly out of every player.


That being said I'd trade up with Steelers at 22 right before the Lions.


If we trade back from 3 to around 10 area then I vote to just take him there.

I would love for Eli Harold to be available in the 2nd. He'd be my first choice regardless of who we take in the 1st. There are no receivers I'd take in the 2nd since they can get Lockett or Greene in the 3rd. Maxx Williams is another possibility despite re-signing Lewis. He's very young with great upside.

As far as guys I absolutely don't want in the 2nd, Green-Beckham, Ajayi and Demarius Randall are all guys who scare me. Randall is one of the fastest risers and due to the Jags need for a safety, Caldwell may reach for him. He has too many questionmarks to be taken that high. Ajayi is a good prospect, but don't know he'll be any better than guys like David Johnson, Cobb, Buck Allen or Langford who can be taken in the 3rd or 4th round.

I'd consider Gurley. But in all reality there's no one I'd trade back into the first for.

  Considering Bill Belichick's long history of trading down in Round 1,   the chances of a trade with pick # 32 this year is even higher than in a typical draft. 

I dont want to trade up either the more I think about it. I would rather ttade back in the 2nd
