They have been going over four teams each week and this week included the Jaguars.
Nothing ground breaking. Although Kiper did make a compelling case for taking Amari Cooper at 3 if you feel like he can be a number one receiver. He seems sold on Allen Robinson as at least a two and possibly a one. But says if you feel like Cooper has the chance to be the elite number one receiver, you have to take him. I was not originally for the idea of taking him at 3. But the more I think about how crucial it is to the future of the franchise to surround Bortles with weapons, it makes a ton of sense.
It makes perfect sense. You can play multiple WRs during the coarse of a game just like how you can play multiple pass rushers. The same logic that applies to drafting a pass rusher applies to WR. The only difference is we are younger at WR than pass rusher. But even so, picking a WR #3 overall doesn't automatically mean you've neglected the defense. You still have 6 more picks.
While I'd prefer Williams or Beasley, I wouldn't be upset at all if Cooper was the pick. He may even be a better prospect than anyone last year. Those 3 guys are who I really want.
An Amare Cooper and Eli Harold draft would be cool with me.

Plus 1!!
I think the two elite prospects that are non-QBs this year are Amari Cooper and Leonard WIlliams.
One of those two should be our pick at #3.

Especially when you consider we've been without a #1 WR since 2005, when Jimmy Smith last wore teal.
A decade without a #1.

Which is essentially what Kiper said
I'm firmly of the opinion that we need to go offense early and often.

Seahawks and Falcons typically spend more money on offense than defense so there wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary with that.
Spending 3 out of 5 first round picks in 2 years on WRs and not even knowing if you have a #1 WR is kind of scary. Even with Amare, I'm not sure any of our WRs (other than Hurns) carries the speed you need from a #1
Caldwell seems committed to getting Bortles additional weapons, as evidenced in the signing of Thomas, attempted signing of Cobb, and most recent visit be Jennings. More specifically though, Dave has voiced that he was happy with the young guys on the outside, but was interested in finding a guy for the slot. I just don't think you burn the 3rd pick in the draft on a slot WR. A very effective slot receiver can be likely found in the 2nd-3rd rounds.

Cooper/Robinson would be your outside guys with Hurns as the next guy in...move Lee to slot.
Or just grab a Dorsett//Lockette in the 2nd/3rd

What do you mean exactly? Cooper, Robinson, Lee, Hurns isn't a slow group of guys at all.
If we stay in the top 10, I'm not sure how you can't take one of the top defensive linemen. You don't typically find pass rushers outside of the first round like you can with receivers. If you take a look back at the last 5 or 6 drafts, there are plenty of pro-bowl caliber wide recievers that come out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds. There are only 1 or 2 true pass rushing DE's that have come outside of the 1st round.
If we trade back into the teens somewhere and there is a run on DE's prior to our pick, would a WR make sense? Maybe in that scenario it does but it would still depend on who else is still on the board in my opinion. And you can bet if we trade back into the teens, that Leonard Williams and the 4 or 5 top DE's will already be gone.

I agree. If these are the mostly consensus "elite" prospects,, they should take one of them.
Cooper or White would be cool, they'd be my two favorite picks after Beasley.

Thats the point. You take Cooper with the third pick if you think he can be the #1 receiver.

I'm with you. Try to get a real playmaker on this offense.
Although I think Hurns and Lee may end up being solid guys,, I'm not sold on them taking a big step up yet. It was reported last season that Lee was having trouble memorizing the playbook, and now has a new one to learn.
Of the 2 non-QB elite prospects,, I'd prefer they draft Cooper (if they don't, Williams wouldn't disappoint me either).

I don't think being "happy with the young guys on the outside" is a good reason against drafting a receiver #3 overall. You play multiple receivers and there are always injuries so there's nothing wrong with adding someone you think may be game breaker. Though most of us believe in the young talent we have, there wasn't an overwhelming amount of production last year to where I would rule out adding another piece. And if they do get a WR that high, I doubt they would consider him a slot receiver.
