In the words of (former) King Obama,

Elections have consequences.

Ahahahah Libturds BTF(lip)O.

Say bye-bye to the DoE. Cut that sucker.

Who says money can't by everything? Apparently it buys you a cabinet seat!

And I am not sure your did your research if you believe the DoE will be diminished.

Pence just went from a Pacer to a Magic STH.

It won't (unfortunately), I am just having some fun! Lets celebrate!

Maybe our absolutely terrible track record in public education will change with someone in charge who actually wants to fix this broken system.

More importantly, congress can finally confirm Jeff Sessions now.

At least Jeff Sessions has the experience, and knowledge to hold the position.

As far as the main federal election, yes I did.  In State and local politics, no I didn't.  Apology accepted.

DeVos is going to be an absolute disaster, so please, keep laughing as our education system actually manages to get worse.

DeVos is a terrible choice..... especially if you're a bear!

Go watch her squirm when she was repeatedly asked questions that the head of the DoE should know.

Let me ask you this.  Where is it mandated in The Constitution that the federal government is responsible for education?  What has the DoE actually accomplished since it's inception?

In my opinion the DoE should just go away along with the cabinet position, but it's likely not going to happen so what should be the responsibility and duty of the government bureaucracy?

Fun fact.  Teacher's unions were against it's founding.
The DoE just like many other "agencies" (AKA the federal money pit) is about as useful as the war on drugs. As Jagibelieve pointed out there is no mandate in the Constitution regarding the federal government presiding over education. They have done nothing to improve the system. For being the 'greatest country in the world' we sure are lacking.

I mostly agree and feel the States and even the communities should drive education needs and requirements.

With that said, I do think some commonality is a good idea. But yeah eliminating DoE had my vote!

lol sounds good to me.
Quote:They are absolutely desperate to try and keep President Trump's cabinet positions from being filled.  The thing is, it's going to happen either way.  The latest is an attempt to delay a vote on Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary.  It's going to happen regardless of their temper tantrums.
Education is the promised land of the looney liberal. It's where they take young, impressionable, mold able minds, and start to jam pack the commust ideals that they are so happy to spread among the youth of today.
Wasn't everyone a liberal when younger. What kind of strange person is a staunch conservative in their teenage years.

The fact you are attempting to assign a political affiliation/belief to young folks who haven't ventured beyond snap chat is strange.
