There is becoming more and more of a chance that Flowers falls to us in round 2. If he's there you think Dave pulls the trigger on Linder's ol buddy from Miami?

As with any other prospect, depends on who we pick in round 1 and who is on the board when we pick in round 2.

He would be a great pick, value wise in the 2nd round. Many experts had him as one of the top 3 linemen in this draft and possibly the best run blocker. Jags will have a very tough decision and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't trade back in the 2nd for an extra 3rd rounder.

Would love to see Clemmings or Flowers at 36...

If we go Leo/DL in round 1 and Gurley is off the board I think both provide excellent value.

Clemmings is more of an LT so he would be a swing and if Joekel doesn't pan out Clemmings would step in.
Perhaps the single worst cutup I have watched this entire draft season is Flowers getting completely abused by Gregory. I would have thought Flowers was a non prospect if that's all I knew about him.

So nah, I'd rather be hoping for Stephone Anthony, Henry Anderson, Michael Bennett, etc...heck probably even one of the tier 2 RB, and y'all know how anti-RB I am.

We wont draft a T in the first 2 rounds

Cameron Erving is the only OL I wouldnt mind us drafting that early because he can play all over the OL

I have no idea what you are talking about.  That is such a load of BS.  That was actually a very good game by Flowers.  First of all, Gregory only played over Flowers maybe 10 plays that game and the rest was at LE.  Secondly, the first touchdown by Duke Johnson was as a result of the block by Flowers on Gregory.  Gregory's first sack that game came when Duke Johnson was left alone against him and missed the block; it's impossible to know if Flowers should have also been on Gregory or not without knowing the actually protections.  The second sack came when Gregory was lined up at LE.

but he read that on twitter so it has to be true

You got that worked up over his comment?

It probably comes off as worked up because of the word filter, but if I were talking to you face to face and saying the same thing it probably would come off as casual. Its a matter of perception of the tone I guess.

True.
I've been going back and forth in trying to decide how to rank the following 4 Offensive Tackles as they project to the LT position in the NFL:

Ereck Flowers,  Andrus Peat,  D.J. Humphries, and T.J. Clemmings.

It seems like a case can be made for each of them from 1 to 4.   I would be interested to see how you would rank the four as LT prospects in general and / or in a specific type of scheme.

I don't know myself, but everything I've read and heard from all of the pre-draft process would put Clemmings last on that list as far as LT is concerned.

Ereck Flowers, TJ Clemmings, Andrus Peat, and then DJ Humphries.

Clemmings and Peat is a tough call. Clemmings is more of a right tackle, but I think he is the better player overall. However, strictly as a LT, Peat may have him, but its close.

Probably because T.J. Clemmings played RT with Pitt and is a converted Defensive Lineman.  Yet,  from a long term perspective,  Clemmings appears to have major upset LT potential.

I agree with you regarding Ereck Flowers being # 1 and D.J. Humphries being # 4.   If Humphries had longer arms,  I would feel more confident that he can be more than a middle of the pack NFL starting LT.

While Andrus Peat appears to have great upside potential,   consistency issues concern me with him.   Based on ability,  a strong case can be made that Peat should be the top Offensive Lineman taken in the draft, whether he is or not.

No I wasn't, Gregory schooled him throughout the entirety...even overpowering him repeatedly despite strength being the supposed weak part of Gregory's game and strongest part of Flowers'.
