10. The depth for quality running backs is really impressive in this draft. Two go in the first; 8 more should go in rounds 2-3.

9. Thinking Utah's Eric Rowe is going to be taken higher than a lot of people suspect, and a number of teams like him best at S, not CB.

8. In the WR class, I have come to think Amari Cooper will be drafted ahead of Kevin White after not being sure for awhile.

7. Scouts tell me there are 15 WRs in this draft who will make NFL impacts. It's the best position for depth. I'd take one early and often.

6. If the Bears take a pass rusher at 7, I'm starting to suspect it might not be best available player (assuming it's not Gregory).

5. NFL scouts like Randy Gregory way more than any other pass rusher in this draft. They also are still wondering if they can trust him.

4. There are only two QBs in this draft that many NFL teams believe will be NFL starters. Not a good year to find a developmental QB.

3. I'll be really surprised if Jameis and Mariota aren't both off the board by pick No. 3.

2. Talked with a lot of people about Jameis. Some love him, but I can tell you this: there is no consensus on him.

1. I think the Bears have done a lot more homework on others than Jameis Winston. I suspect his upcoming visit is just covering the bases.

From Eric Rowe's NFL draft bio:

Quote:"He's a long-strider with limited deep speed, so I see him as a Tampa-2 guy or maybe fitting with a defense similar to Seattle's where he has a good free safety helping over the top." -- AFC directer of college scouting
So strong safety?
This all bodes well
Interesting regarding Rowe and Gregory. I would count Caldwell as one who probably likes Gregory, based on his comments to a reporter that he'd take any proven pass rusher even if underweight. I wonder what the Jags think of Rowe, and would he last to #36?

Ahh. Makes sense.

CB was the clarification.

Got it. What they're saying is he's better zone corner than cover corner.

But, he probably could handle FS just fine. This is what I like about his profile:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/e...id=2552255

"Instinctive in zone with ball skills to match."

Another FS candidate CB I like is Josh Shaw if we go other positions early.
The comment of only 2 QBs may even develop to be starters means the demand for the two top QBs will be very high, as there is no supply, even developmentally worthy. This thought should lead to significant trade interest early for these two QBs, leaving either the Titans or Jags in a very good spot.
I agree about the RBs, we better get ours in 2 or 3

When did he say that? Couldn't that mean Vic Beasley also?
I have no problem with weed or smoking it at all but please no more players with a chronic (hehe) history of substance abuse in the first round. We have been burned plenty of times, and cant afford another year long suspension just waiting to happen.

We've all smoked so save the rhetoric. This isn't a kid who was 'just being a kid.' Three infractions indicates there's something else going on there.

He said it at the owners meetings if I recall correctly. His comments were "I don't care if he weights 145 pounds, as long as he can rush the passer" or something along those lines.

His combine #s of 4.45 in the 40 is good enough as a CB, but outstanding as a FS.

Yeah even a young man in his early 20s knows he's gotta get clean (even if just temporarily) to get a job, and that's not a job making millions a year.

Bingo. We all had to stop to get/keep a job. If he can't realize the gravity of such an opportunity this many times, he's got a peanut head.
