I am not trying to beat up a dead horse by reminding us fans of the horrible 1st round draft history, but let us take another look at the 2003 NFL draft

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_NFL_draft

The Bengals took Palmer at #1, Lions took WR Rogers (some had compared him to Randy Moss like Amari Cooper he was expected to be the best in the draft but never had the career like Johnson had or as people assume White will have in the NFL), Texans took WR Andre Johnson at #3 * (where the Jaguars are at this year and the slot WR of White compares to)

Jets a DT Robertson at #4 (as many suspect JDR will take Williamson), Cowboys CB Newman at 5th, the Saints took another DT Sullivan at sixth,

and the Jaguars took QB Byron Leftwich at 7th, Panthers took OT Jordan Gross, DT Williams for the Vikings, Suggs for the ravens at 10 (whom some say Fowler compares to),

Seattle then took Trufant CB at 11th. Steelers took Troy Polamau at 16th overall (which Landon Collins SS compares to and might go around that area in the draft if not to the Steelers),

Mathis was taken by the Jaguars in the 2nd round (i think GM Dave Caldwell might draft a CB in the 2nd round this year too).

My point is I can see a lot of comparisons with the 2003 draft and this years 2015 draft while not as much talent will be in this years draft as the 2003 had in it.

GM Dave Caldwell expressed that the team still has no real viable number 1 WR (Before he had even let Cecil Shorts III leave in Free Agency), and with the rest of the best being all young WRs going into their 2nd year (many of which were injured during their rookie year so its kind of like still being rookies) will he take a chance on WR White with the 3rd overall knowing that Justin Blackmon will not return and White has that same kind of style some have even compared White to being like Larry Fitzgerald.

I'm thinking more like 2009.

I get the feeling there's going to be a lot of disappointment in the first round.

We wont take a CB in the 2nd round, unless its Byron Jones and then move him to FS, which he has played

There are several CBs who are likely FS targets.

Remember that draft where some players ended up good and some didn't. That reminds me a lot of this draft.

I can't recall a draft ever being like that...you must be new to this whole draft thing.

Thanks .... I was just getting over the pain of the 2003 draft and all of the subsequent effects it had on future Jaguars drafts.
Who the heck is Williamson? Do you mean Leonard Williams? If so, that'd be the first time I've seen his named linked to the Raiders. The general opinion I've seen from draftnik types if that if he makes it past the Titans at two, he doesn't make it past the Jaguars at three.

Its 2015 wow, some of you really need hobbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is comparing Landon Collins to Troy Polamalu? I don't see that comparison at all.

I prefer to think of it like the 1974 draft, when the Steelers selected four Hall of Famers in the same draft.

It can be done!   You've gotta believe!
