Sad state of affairs this. 2000 and 2004 it was FL.

I don't trust these electronic voting machines at all, I don't care which party is claiming the other is benefiting from it.

While it is well-recognized that smaller, rural precincts tend to lean Republican, statisticians have been unable to explain the consistent pattern favoring Republicans that trends upward as the number of votes cast in a precinct or other voting unit goes up. In primaries, the favored candidate appears to always be the Republican establishment candidate, above a tea party challenger. And the upward trend for Republicans occurs once a voting unit reaches roughly 500 votes.

So when lots of Republicans vote they vote establishment over niche wing. This isn't really news. Even the good doctor isn't saying something illegal is going on, just a trend, and one that makes sense from a behavioral science perspective.

Wrong as usual. This is evidence of election fraud. (Think Diebold in Ohio and Katherine Harris in FL.)

I could see how some could construe it it as potential fraud or manipulation but yeah that's the same take away I got. People are more likely to vote R and D and the big names in those I think that the fringe candidates. Makes sense to me.

 

Is she implying it's general manipulation of elections or towards the GOP establishment to push the fringe groups out specifically in primaries? That part was not clear to me.
