The articles I have read from Pro Football Focus (PFF) appear to show that DL Leonard Williams is a risky pick at #3 because on obvious passing plays he lacks the broad strength to get after the Quarterback. The stats for Edge Defenders that they show Trey Flowers ARK with 329 Pass Rushing Snaps, 6SK, 9Ht, 46Hu, total pressure 61, and PRP of 14.4 tied for 2nd with Frank Clark.
Then again in Third Down PRP Trey Flowers ranks 2nd with 117 pass rush snaps, 4 SK, 4ht, 20 Hu, 28 total pressures and a PRP of 18.8.
Then once again with Run Stop Percentage they have him as ranked 4th with 289 Run D Snaps, 43 tackles, 11 ast, 4 miss, 35 stops, with a stop % of 12.1
Shocking they have Shane Ray ranked 9th in that stat, 16th in Third Down PRP, and he doesn't even make the top 20 in pass rush productivity stat they composed.
They have Dante Fowler at 8th in that with James Vaughters as 1st.
To me stats can be deceiving but often in certain cases the numbers don't lie.
This makes me think that GM Dave Caldwell will most likely draft WR A. Cooper with the 3rd overall pick.
What do you think about PFF in general and its stats (above)?
