I know several of you know much more than I do about these prospects. I have been thinking that Dave is going to do everything he can to get the offense going. It seems that this draft is fairly deep at rushers and also at receivers. In your opinion would it be best to grab a WR with our 1st pick and a DE with our 2nd? Is the drop off of talent between 1st & 2nd round DE's greater than the drop off of talent between 1st & 2nd round WR's?
I know this is assuming that we go DE/WR in the first 2 rounds. While I think we should get a rusher i also think we could use a bit more WR help for Blake. I think Dave and Gus may be in their final year so a WR may be more important to helping us win now. Anyways just wondering what everyone was thinking about this.

Yes
I think we are more likely to go rb than we. But even there, there is much more talent depth on that side. After the first handful of pass rushers, there's a considerable drop off

So you're saying you believe we go pass rusher #1 and rb #2?
I'll admit I'm torn, on one hand I want us to get a WR #1 probably because that's the "sexy" pick. But I think the smart pick would be pass rusher #1 and either wr or rb #2.

Yeah I think we go pass rusher #1, preferably Beasley. This is assuming Williams isn't there, if he is then we take him, and #2 would be Gurley if he falls. If he or Gordon isn't there at our 2nd round (and I'm not a huge Gordon fan) then we could go all sorts of ways. WR probably, but possibly a FS, possibly Rollins as a convert. But there's a ton of other options at that point, OL if someone falls, Gregory if he somehow falls, I'd even take Maxx Williams and cut Lewis and have Thomas and Williams two TE sets out there.
Really though I think our second pick is very dependent on who falls in the first
The 2nd round will have a lot of interesting prospects that could be sitting there @ 36:
RBs: Gurley/Gordon fall? Ajayi..Abdullah
WRs: DGB/Strong fall?
OL: Erving/Clemmings/Flowers/Fisher/Humphries
Leos: P. Smith/Odighizuwa/Harold
LBs: Kendricks/McKinney/Dawson/Anthony
DTs: Davis/Bennett/Goldman
CBs//FSs: Jones//Peters//Williams
If Williams is there, you ABSOLUTELY take him at pick 3. Then take highest rated Edge Rusher (Shaq Thompson or Eli Harold if they slip), or Gurley or Gordon. I'd rather take an RB in rd 2, then try and get a DE/OLB (Hunter, Smith or Kikaha)
If Williams is gone you take Beasley or Fowler (I'd prefer Beasley) then highest rated RB, OL or WR (DGB, Funchess, Smith) in 2.
My dream scenario would be trading with the Browns for their 12th, 19th & 43rd pick for our 3rd, if Marioa is there. Then being able to grab Ray/Gregory at 12, Gurley/Gordon at 19. And best available WR/OL at 43. But that's just wishful thinking.

Think you'd have to get Gurley at 12 if you wanted him…then give me Gregory//Dupree//Flowers @ 19
