J.J. Nelson seems like one of the more interesting players in the 2015 Draft.  Nelson is light as a feather but he had a record setting season as a Kickoff Returner in his Senior Season with UAB.   When a player returns 4 Kickoff for TDs in a season,  with a 38.3 yard average return,  it's attention getting.   Not to mention a 4.28 40 time at the Combine!    On the other hand,  Nelson has had a good but not a great Punt Returner history.

Earlier today,  J.J. Nelson had a Pre-Draft visit with the Lions.   The following articles have various information about Nelson,  with video and stats combined.

From a Jaguars perspective,  under the scenario that you think is most likely to occur in the 2015 Draft,  would you want the Jags to use a pick on Nelson?   If yes,  in what round would you be comfortable if the team drafted him?
5-10 156 lbs?  That's pretty ridiculous.  He's running for his life at that size. Maybe I'd give up a 7th or maybe 6th because those players likely wouldn't make the team anyway.  But if he's anything less in the NFL than what he was in college it's pretty pointless.

Priority free agent, seconded.

Thanks for your input everyone.

I'm viewing J.J. Nelson as a viable 7th Round option for team's looking to upgrade their return game.   If Nelson isn't drafted,   I do believe his services will be in high demand as an UDRFA.

That's extremely light for a football player. Like, to the point where it may be dangerous for him to be on the field.

Seriously there are kickers that weigh more than him.

He also has tiny hands. Which won't really help with ball security or catching.
