Seems to be "kicking the crap out of his cancer" from what I've heard on sports radio over here.
What's his contract situation looking like? I missed pretty much all of last season so I didn't get to see how he was performing before he was sidelined. I know he's on his last year in Kansas City. Any chance they let him walk and he goes elsewhere?

Doubt it. I'm sure his contract would probably be carried over to next season and he will be on some sort of medical exemption list. I'm not too educated on that kind of stuff though.
Also glad he's beating the cancer.

He was scheduled to be a UDFA next year. I would be all over this guy if he ever hit the FA. Next year I would make him and Alex Mack a priority.
At this point the only thing I hope for eric berry is that he gets better. I'll concern myself if we sign him once he does.

From what I've read, if he ends up on the NFI list again this year, the Chiefs won't have to pay him and will have $5.5m free cap to work with, and it's no secret that the Chiefs aren't fans of Berry's contract.
It'll be interesting to see what happens.

That's a kind gesture.

The Chiefs would be slaughtered in the court of public opinion if they withheld salary from a guy fighting cancer.
