Quote:I'm honestly becoming a bigger fan of how someone explained they do it in Europe (can't believe I said that). Where they rank the candidates and then it goes down the line until someone ends up with a majority vote. For example you might have two Republicans, three Democrats, a Libertarian, Green Party, Progressive Party, and Constitutional Party in an election and instead of pick one they list them in ranking order of first to last.I think the Aussies do that also. It seems like it would lead a more representative form of election rather than our first past the post winner take all system. Still you gotta fix the campaigning before any of it really matters IMO

Quote:I like how Europe does a great many things to be honest. That's some hippie tree hugger nonsense right there. :teehee:
Europe gets a lot right, that we sadly get wrong. Many of which I'm sure you'd disagree with. Of course Europe gets a lot wrong too. (Some of their discrimination laws go too far, such as the man arrested for singing "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting, though he wasn't ultimately charged). And they don't have the whole "Innocent until proven guilty" bit everywhere either.
We can and should learn from Europe to be honest. Of course we should learn from our own mistakes too, instead of repeating them. Especially if we want to continue being a great nation.
Quote:Europeans are socialist, not communist.
To be honest, our republic has turned into a plutocracy. Partly because we want to get as far away from 'dirty socialism' as we can.
Quote:I'm very much anti-socialist.but pro commie. You can't fool us
