Quote:I disagree.
1.Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Isaac Bruce
5. Chris Carter
6. Marvin Harrison
7. Larry Fitzgerald
8. Reggie Wayne
9. Terrell Owens
I could see putting Calvin at 3 and Owens at 4 but that's really it for me. Bruce and Carter are close but just behind him for me. Either way if he's the 9th best of all time, he still belongs in.

Issac Bruce and Reggie Wayne better than TO??
I'm really starting to question how much you know about football.
The HOF balloting is rigged. I'm not even talking about Boselli not making it, but TO is clearly one of the top 3 WR's of all time and he doesn't make it but Jason Taylor does? Unbelievable.
What about Morten Anderson? He is ranked 51st all-time among kickers in % of field goals made. It will be interesting to see if they put Ray Lewis in next year. What is next, will they take O.J. out of the Hall ? Next year's class should include Lewis, Moss and Owens. Give it to those 3 and add the 2 guys with Jacksonville connections- Boselli and Dawkins. Urlacher was very good, but he can wait an extra year.
:whistling: I would be OK with cutting OJ out from the HOF.
Rice cheated and used Stick um. So does not deserve to be in top 10. While. They wont remove him. To say he is number one is laughable.

Stop it.
Chris Carter had to wait 6 years. He's on 2 (I think). I think he'll make it eventually; but the more he rants on twitter, the longer it may take. He's definitely a hall of famer with his numbers; but if Chris Carter can wait; so can he.

Nope he admitted it and it is true.
But being it was a time when soo many did what ever was necc to win. And teams were stacked with mean streaks and violent as ever.
I dont blame the man for finding an advantage. Good business strategy.
But moraly speaking it was still wrong.

The gloves players wear these days are even stickier.
Complete non issue for me.

This is no offense to you or anyone else that doesn't understand the concept of using stick-um. I played high school and 1 year of junior college football and stick-um is not an issue. The guys that wore gloves could catch the ball in all kinds of crazy ways. The ball would just stick to the glove. So if Jerry Rice sprayed his hands with a can of stick-um then essentially he was on even par with wearing gloves.
That catch OBJ made would not have happen if he didn't have on gloves.
So what am I trying to say? Even if Rice wore stick-um, his numbers are still good in my eyes. No asterisks needed. Every WR in the NFL wears stick-um because it comes pre made onto the gloves.

So did I man. And no this was a special version. He specifically ordered. And gloves make footballs harder to catch not easier.
It is not baseball. I understand what you are saying grip wise. But many receivers did not.
Chris carter didnt for example.
No disrespect to you as well. However cheating is cheating.
I love mark mccguire baseball. But he still cheated.
Not to mention stickum was outlawed in 1981. So it was illegal to use any.

i played on the defensive side of the ball but i always wore gloves regardless because interceptions were 10x more likely with how sticky those gloves are. I can remember more than one occasion that the ball sticking to my glove was the only reason i made the catch. Anyone knocking Rice for using stickem has not spent a lot of time on the field.

No. Gloves do not make the ball harder to catch. For me, that statement really hurts your credibility.

Well I am originally from ct which has tons of for days on end rain and snow more like blizzards. Unlike florida.
Ya ever try to catch a fooball with gloves on in the snow? It becomes pretty slippery.

I've spent 20 years living in upstate NY. I think it would be safe to assume I have.
If it is too wet, yes, the ball remains slippery even with gloves but your point is still moot because stickum doesn't really work when it rains that hard either.

I see what ya mean with gloves. But we are talking 20 plus years ago.
I have not tried a pair of these gloves. But yet in madden. Which is irrelevent.
Every player I create has gloves. Cause looks cooler.
But yes when I played football. Gloves did not matter much. And made things worse.
Today is different. And wouldnt doubt much better. Technology is amazing.
I wonder if they realize they're making a joke out of the HoF when they do stuff like this. Regardless of how they feel about him, he deserves to be in, most everyone realizes he deserves to be in but they continue to play schoolyard games.
