These guys should make up the core of our team at the present, but the only player from any of these drafts that is still on the roster is Alualu. Windmill and Anger are the only guys left from the '12 draft as well. We still have a long way to go on building the team.

As I was reading Im sitting here thinking who the heck is windmill? Like its someones last name... Then it hit me Branch lol. But yea thats sad...

Wow...just...wow.

If you take the 2012 draft that means from 2007-2012 we only drafted 1 current starter, and its the freaking punter (you my boy Anger).

It wasn't just bad drafting. Several of those guys are still playing. Nelson, Durant, Knighton, and Monroe are starters, with all but Durant being better than the Jags current starters at those positions.

Gene Smith seriously destroyed this team.  I'm ashamed to say that i supported him at one point in time.  Vic had me brainwashed!

Yeah, I agreed with all the BAP stuff and still think taking the better player over the lesser player is always the right move, but if you can't identify the better player then it really doesn't matter whether you think you're taking the better player or not.

Bingo. BAP vs. Need is a mirage. If you can't scout, then none of it matters.

 

Me personally, I like the saying "I don't care how you do it, just get it right." Hire the right people and let them do their job.
