This guy has to be the biggest idiot on the Republican side. Sometimes you just wonder how these guys get elected?

He is the ultimate chicken hawk

Thankfully there is absolutely no way in hell he will ever win any nomination from any political party. If there was even a remote possibility he could be President......
He's right up there with Rick Santorum as guys who if they run, I will vote Democrat.  (Otherwise I vote for whatever third party has the best chance of getting the most votes, though I align more with the green party)

I feel like either the Republican party isn't what it one was, or it is what it always was and growing up in a conservative household shielded me from seeing the worst sides of Republicans.

You mean you don't want a politician that fantasizes about being able to use military force to get congress to vote they way he wants? The worst part? Guarantee he wins his re-election.
The sad thing is, I think it's worse at the local level.  You have some real idiots in the state legislature.  And they tend to pass more bills than congress and the senate.  And that's scary.   Many of them run unopposed.  A lot of people don't even remember the names of the guys they elected, let alone what they're doing.
