Actually a pretty favorable assessment from former Washington and Houston Texans' GM Charley Casserly.

When asked if Jacksonville is a better team now, he said, and I paraphrase "No question they are an improved team."

The host then solicited his opinion on Blake Bortles.

Casserly indicated he studied the last two games of last year and saw improved accuracy and decision making from Bortles, and that he is capable of leading the team to the playoffs.

Very surprising that for once NFLN has one thing to say about the Jags other than they are a place where players go to die. Even if it is just a one time thing.

Can someone please start a thread about Bortles lil passing camp training camp jump off in Cali? I need to be in the know

Nevermind. Its there now. Its here now!
The nfl network hacks said bortles can lead us to the playoffs!!!  Championship in the bag!

Casserly is smart, always liked him.

Casserly actually speaks truth unlike that moron Heath Miller who lives to trash the Jags.

I do too...however...on this board, if the Jags get kudos the guy is smart, cool, etc.

Says something negative...ignorant, hack, inept.

Nature of the beast. If its deserved I respect it. I don't always want the report through teal shades. However spouting off and getting info backwards ( which isn't uncommon) tends to rankle a few. Myself included

Heath Miller couldn't cover the Ti - Cats. ( my fav CFL team, by the way)

Then again look at his parents...who in hell names their son Heath?

But isn't he still a Steeler?

Yet praises the Saints on everything.
Do you guys mean Heath Evans?
Every time NFLN says something about Jags they must throw in something slick at the end. Like when Amber Theoharis said "The Jags went out and overpaid Julius Thomas." or something of that nature.

But at the end of the day it's still NFLN > ESPN

Or start it off sum'n like "Though The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't make the biggest splash in free agency,,."

I don't know what it is about Casserly, but I just never take his comments seriously. I wonder if I could read some of his takes without knowing that they came from him whether I would agree or not. He just seems out of touch to me for some odd reason or another.
I dont trust his hair

I always enjoy hearing from former coaches or GMs like Casserly or Polian or even Mariucci.   I am sick of hearing from former players, most of whom don't seem to know what they're talking about.   Maybe it's the difference in IQ level, or the fact that the former players don't seem to do any homework.   A lot of them seem to be selling nothing but buffoonery, like Michael Irvin or Deion Sanders.    Marshall Faulk is a rare former player who is intelligent and does his homework.

Yea like LaDainian Tomlinson. Then Irvin Deion and Marshall jiving around like amateurs.

I love Marshal Faulk.

Commercial always made me laugh.  Yeah back when we had 2 video games for football.

I do like Casserly, just knowing he was actually someone more than a player has always made him more interesting to me.

On the second day of free agency this year, Casserly said that we fired our DC and that our defense was horrible. He's just like every other talking head out there. No clue what's actually happening with our team or any other.
