Quote:Scared of Frank Gore??? hahah He has no legs left and has been playing behind an elite Oline. Now he's playing behind a bad line.... he's useless and I'm actually glad they got him.

I think Andre can have a Steve Smith type of effect in Indy but Steve dropped off so hard at the end of the year because.... he's old! Not to mention they are taking snaps and plays away from Moncreif who is gonna be good. Pumped for that too.

Good point on Moncrief. This is why Caldwell > Grigson. He believes in letting young players develop rather than having washed up vets take their snaps.

Still better than the rest of our CBs though...
Quote:9-7 or bust?

I would gladly take anywhere near .500 after the last 4-5 seasons.

7-9 -- 9-7

That's the realm of my expectations.

I expect this team to be able to win at least 7.

No more "all rookies" excuses... no more "new schemes" (although we are changing OCs)

The D has pieces, parts, players... we're not built like a 2-4 win team, 4 wins should not be acceptable.

Though, if we hit 7 wins... I'll be pleased with the direction, not so much the final results...

that would constitute "winning" for me.
The last two seasons I expected maybe 8 wins the first year, and a couple after that (like 9 or 10) now i think most fans would be happy with 7 but I wouldnt...

the rookie, new GM new HC thing along with other excuses is getting old.. i want to see results.. at least get 8 wins or ill be seriously upset.

Doesn't Robert Mathis play DE...?

Our corners are that bad, bruh.

Banged up DE's can out play them.   Talk about "not optimistic."    :teehee:
laughing at myself,  I didnt read it well thought Rashean Mathis

Ok, do you think adding Amari Cooper or Dante Fowler Jr would add to the win column? I think that is what you ask when trying to factor in the draft.

To me if I was GM Dave Caldwell and Leo Williams was still available I would draft him if not, I would take a risk on Cooper to add more weapons to Blake, or possibly trade down and get an interior Offensive lineman or cornerback (provided he gets next years 1st).  I wouldnt be upset if they drafted Fowler Jr but I think Williams is far better prospect and less risk as a Defensive Lineman.

Grigson let Luck, T.Y., Allen, Brazill, Fleener, and Ballard play all within their rookie years. So respectfully, your point is moot. Moncrief received plenty of playing time his rookie year. With Andre Johnson replacing Wayne, Moncrief will continue to receive plenty playing time, especially with the departure of Hakeem Nicks. His development will not be hindered. The Colts run plenty of 3-wide sets.
