Really popular in the Army here. I did it for about 6 months on deployment and after it stopped giving me a buzz I just quit.
Tobacco was never for me though, I didn't even touch it until I turned 25.

I dip/chew when I hunt. It's helps keep me awake in the tree/blind.
It's like a hot burn in your lip/cheek then it hits your head. Just don't swallow it.
It's magically delicious.
