Quote:he had 1 sack and less tackles than Alualu last year. that means he's probably all-pro.
He played DT and some NT last season, he's had 6.0, 5.0, and 4.5 sacks in his last three years at end.

I'd be interested to see how you define "owned". Clearly you must know MORE THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
Quote:he got owned by Luke Joeckel. Clearly the guy must be REALLY GOOD.

Quote:in other words you only watched one game of him.
no ive seen him play plenty and he's on Alualu's level... that's about it. but clearly, the guy is all-pro or something like that

watch the game and you will understand. he was pushed around. Miami's run defense was not very good last year. it was inconsistent... which is basically what Odrick is... an inconsistent player. But hey, we signed him so, clearly... he's wonderful

Quote:no because then you are just where you already were. Bryant played ok for us last year, and we got a guy who could be OK for us next season. this is nothing more.A guy who's almost four years younger than Bryant. I'll take that.
I wonder where Bryant fits in with an Odrick signing. Does he become a backup tackle, does he take Roy Miller's spot, or is he off the team?

Bryant will play on running situations unless he's cut

I did watch the game. I saw Joekel whiff on a block and Odrick blasted Bortles. Miami's run defense was better than our's last year. But hey, your eyeballs say he is inconsistent and you know more than the other teams that wanted to sign him. Someone get Caldwell on the phone, we are clearly not utilizing your superior evaluation and analytical skills.

I know, I mean, Caldwell is obviously infallible. how dare anybody suggest that Odrick is not the second coming?
Miami was better than us against the run. Man, I guess that means it was good.

look at the PFF rating for Odrick against us. Clearly, he's going places. And when I say 'places' I mean, THE PRO BOWL.

I mean, Badger is obviously infallible. How dare anyone suggest we WATCH a guy play before we call it a bad signing. I mean, Miami DID have a better run defense than the Jags. I mean, maybe he IS a good player.
See, it can work both ways.

You know, there are "good players", right? It isn't just, your an all-pro or you are a depth piece, right? I think the entire staff who has been evaluating tape on Odrick for the past 2 months, and our GM who has done nothing to show he doesn't have a great eye for talent, knows better than the almight "badger" on the Jaguars.com message board. You must live a rough life with being down with everything this team does, lol.

Just stop following the NFL already...christ. :teehee:

Yeah he isn't some All-Pro...but this is free agency. You try to narrow in on one or two big names and the rest is for rotational/ depth guys. Odrick is not going to set the world on fire but Bradley loves a good rotation of guys and it is not exactly easy for everyone of those guys to be All-Pro.
