Above average OT's are always going for premium money cause it's a hard position to fill with above average talent.
Kid never really played Football in college…He was a basketball player. Amazing how some of these guys that were benchwarmers//never played end up lasting longer and being better than the studs at their college.
Lot of $$ for him...he started approx. 7 games in 5 years. He was decent filling in for Free while he was injured....Free was resigned for less.
Not the big name some of us were hoping for.
Dallas have got a pretty strong OLine though, so no great disgrace to be on the fringes of it.
Just looking again at this, he is 29 in July, so not exactly a long-term solution.
I wonder if they might still go for a young RT in the draft, as his eventual replacement...

Well, 29 is not bad for an OL. He filled in nicely in Dallas and they would have loved him back, but he was gong to get more $$ from some other team. Def an upgrade for Jax.
That 29 doesn't really bother overmuch though seeing as how he hasn't seen a lot of playing time. I'm not saying he has ten years left in him, but he'll probably play out a good three years of that contract, provided he plays to the level that the team is expecting of him.
