I think its probably be because he is the safest player in the draft along with Cooper

You're probably right, but to me they are closer fit to a traditional 4-3 RDE.

 

OTOH, Gregory might actually play a better LEO role.

 

Close to the White/Cooper argument.  Cooper/Beasley may fit the mold, but White/Gregory may have more upside.  Security vs Potential.
