In this ESPN segment, they have Maxwell ask 3 potential teams questions about the franchise and then he has to choose which team he wants to play for at the end and picked the Jags.
Now this probably means absolutely nothing, but in a way, it was kind of convincing.
Just wanted to share with you guys.
Hopefully, Suh and McCourty also play this game and they also pick the Jags. And then all 3 come here.
So far I have seen no reports we are chasing him. That probably is because we have starting cornerbacks and are looking for backups.
But if Earl Thomas was the UFA in Seattle, I would be all over him.

all over him? You cant talk dirty like that on here

McCray and Maxwell as starters. Colvin at nickel.
You could never have enough quality CB's. The same with pass rushers. The fact that the Jaguars can afford to upgrade many positions is a tremendous luxury under the difficult circumstance of the last few seasons.
The Jags could use help at every single position. A guy like Maxwell would absolutely be a welcome upgrade.
He seemed very pleased about his pick before he saw the Helmet hahahahahaha

Can't wait to change those things. Makes us look like a pop warner team.
Would love to have him here. Dude can ball.
Yeah you could tell he was like "damn I picked the Jags" lmbo

"Coach you know real well "and " We got the most money"
Believe me he knew who he was picking.
didn't seem like it when he saw the helmet
You can tell he really liked answer on the the first question, I think thats what hooked him. But he wants to be an eagle, its obvious.
As far as priorities go hes not near the top of my list but hes a good player and would be a great addition otherwise.
Watching this and my reaction to his choice made me realize how seldom we win anything.

...because we know all of the stuff we hear this time of year is 100% accurate.
I really wasn't looking to sign Maxwell, but thinking about it, if we strike out with McCourty, I wonder if its not worth it go after him. When Colvin was injured, there were a lot of speculation about sliding him to FS given our need there. Why not do that and bring on Maxwell?
This would allow us to start Maxwell and McCray on the outside and Gratz on the inside.

How do you know this? For all we know, the team is targeting a starter opposite McCray, even though such a move would relegate Colvin to nickel. There's no doubt in my mind that Maxwell would be an upgrade over Colvin at this juncture.

The coaching staff seems pretty sold on Colvin as a corner, although given Colvin's experience at safety, this move might make some sense. He'd definitely be the center fielder this staff wants if we can't land McCourty, and almost certainly an upgrade over Josh Evans.
