What are your opinions of the letter and do you believe it may have an impact towards N.Suh coming to Jacksonville?
I'm not familiar with this letter. What were the contents?

Link?

I'm pretty sure Brunell has about as much influence over personnel decisions for the Jaguars as I do.

Huh? Letter?

I think it only exists as a semi-fictional prop as part of a segment on ESPN and was dreamed up by a TV producer.

That said-  it's probably pretty indicative of many fans feelings - but  will have little to no effect on Suh's decision making.

Quote:Three former NFL players now working as ESPN analysts were asked to write letters urging Suh to sign with their former teams.

His selling points were the Jaguars having the most cap space of any team, the lack of state income tax in Florida, and a young quarterback and defensive-minded coach. Here's his letter:

Dear Mr. Suh,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Mark Brunell and I was the QB for the Jaguars years ago. I am writing you to ask if you would be willing to join our football team. Our fans love and support our team and would love nothing more than for you to wear the Teal and Black. We have a good young quarterback and we have a defensive minded coach in Gus Bradley that you would enjoy playing for. Jacksonville is a franchise that is once again on the rise and your leadership and intensity is exactly what we need. By the way, we have a LOT of money to spend. And we are going to spend it! Not to mention Florida has no state income tax. Just sayin! I REALLY hope you will consider being a Jaguar.

Go Jaguars!

Also from espn,Former Indianapolis center Jeff Saturday and former Pittsburgh running back Jerome Bettis also wrote to Suh.

Good for him, but like I said before, it won't make a difference.  Suh is probably asking who this Brunell guy is?
Just make sure he doesn't give Suh any investment advice.
I find it way too hard to believe that we are getting Suh. Just too good to be true.

Zing!
Just watched the actual video, and it's a pretty clever bit by ESPN.

Funny stuff.

I like it lol, who else was gonna do this for the Jags? We don't even know if he will be a target for us come free agency, we just hear rumors. With the letter and the rumors makes me really think we are going after Suh. If we go after him and don't get him, every fan and everyone who works for Khan will regret not getting him because wherever he goes he will make a huge impact. Once in 10 years you get a opportunity like this so lets get Suh.

Me thinks the no state tax would be a pretty big deal.

You realize that Brunell didn't actually write him a letter, right?
After his "Jags could move to London" crap from last year, Mark Brunell would still be dead to me if he convinced Aaron Rodgers to come play for the Jags.

Nah, I'd get over it pretty quick if this happened.
lol I was reading the letter in Mark's voice
