I'm not exactly thrilled with us signing Cassel, but I'm also not thrilled with most of the available QBs either who are all backup/marginal starter types. The only positives about Cassel vs. the rest is his experience and also his familiarity with New England. Maybe he can give Rex some insights into how their offense works which will give him a better plan to attack it. Signing him also gives us some flexibily in the draft as we now aren't forced the take a QB.
