So he'll be cut.

Kinda sad, would hope to see him retire a texan. Then again I'll be happy we dont play him anymore, even if he is nothing like he use to be.

Damn, that's how you treat your all-time best player? I guess it really is a business.
He was a tremendous player.  I am happy not to see him twice a year anymore.

He'll be a Pat shortly.

probably, he still has a good couple years left imo. Think he lights it up if he goes to NE
He is one of the best ever and just glad we dont have to ay him twice a year now, gave us headaches for many years

Just said the same thing.
Why would the Texans want to get rid of the best wide receiver - if not best offensive player - in team history?

Yeah that makes sense. So does a team like the Colts with Wayne's future up in the air and he's not what he was regardless. The Colts lack weapons for Luck and Andre still has some gas in the tank. He's a good locker room guy too. He's a good player to have for a contender.

$$$$
Not surprising. He has wanted out for a while now. Seems like he finally forced their hand.

It's indeed a business.  On both ends of the spectrum.

Andre Johnson will be entering his 13th season.  One way I'm looking at today's news mentioned in the beginning of this thread is how many NFL players get to play at least 13 seasons with the team they began their NFL career with AND can retire on their own terms?    The number is certainly on the low side.    Taking the AFC South Jagaurs-Texans rivalry out of the equation,  it's unfortunate that Andre Johnson apparently won't get that 13th season with the Texans.

What are you talking about? Bart Starr retired a Packer.
Russell Wilson deserves him.

Why did he retire though?!! He's one of the best Packer QBs of all time!
