Well?
Cool if we go after him, but I really doubt we do.

The case against Greg Hardy has been dismissed but even with his legal status cleared up it remains to be seen what if anything the NFL may impose

The NY Giants have said that if a deal could not be reached with Jason Pierre Paul they would franchise tag him

That being said is their any chance Hardy could wind up in Jacksonville??

Also is their any chance the Bills allow Hughes to walk??
From what I've seen he's still going to be suspended. Victim was paid off.
No.
The Greg Hardys (and Ray Rices) of the league are talented players that are toxic from a PR standpoint.  With the Jags always having to work extra hard to sell tickets, I don't see them signing Hardy.

Both Hughes and the Bills profess they want to work out a deal, and I think the Bills may place the tag on him to keep him off the market while they work on a longer term deal.  I don't see Hughes becoming available...but I have been wrong before.

There is no doubt that some women can drive a man crazy and when that happens, better to walk away, or in some instances run as fast as you can away from that woman.

That being said, Greg Hardy and Ray Rice have become scape-goats for the NFL and until they are punished for the sins of humanity, the world will pour all sorts of anger towards them, all in the name of Social Justice.

I like the idea of signing Greg Hardy. I think he has already been punished. I am not sure I would give him a whole lot of guaranteed money, but if he has learned his lesson, then he could be a valuable asset for any team including the Jags.

That being said, the crowd must have its blood offering, which means the Jags will most likely not sign Greg Hardy.

This is the type of break a team like the Jaguars never get. Risk? Yes. Unpopular with a faction of the fan base? Check. But if you can sign him to a cheaper incentive laced contract count as me one of the people that would be thrilled with the signing.

It is hard to play the "what if" game at this point, but what if the Jags also sign a player like Suh? And now your line is Hardy, Suh, Marks, the rookie DE. Hardy is young, productive, and worth the risk IMO and would help elevate the D-line to elite status.

He may not be the brightest player to play football, but if you give him the right deal I'm all for it.  The guy can play football....and at this point thats what i want.  I'm tired of the "we sign good guys" type of football and not winning...I'm a win at all cost right now kind of guy.

Honestly he's #2 on my FA wish list but just like some of the reasons posted don't know if the jags go after him. If you take away the off field stuff he's the best DE available and he's only 25 or 26 I believe.
He's not good

He had 11 and 15 sacks each of the last 2 full seasons he played, in what world is that not good?

I dont think he will be a first wave signing, but once his situation clears up he could be had for cheap

It's the way he plays and gets his sacks

Care to elaborate? Don't dig too deep.
The lawyer want let him play.

Let's not act like this is some poor, wrongfully accused Brian Banks type. He bought the victim off in exchange for her refusal to testify, therefore ending the case against him and guaranteeing the charges would be dropped before his second trial (IIRC, he was convicted initially then used some loophole to get a new trial). I have even less respect for him because of the way he paid his problem away rather than owning up to it like a man. He's a coward, imo, and there's no place in the Jags' locker room for cowards.

People settle out of court all the time to protect their career. He was wrong, everyone knows it and that hasn't changed. This is football. If you think he's a productive player, at a fair price and won't become anymore of a headcase then you add the talent to your roster.
Hardy is a danger to the team. He is a very good player, but he has a lot of red flags. He had multiple problems while in college which allowed Carolina to draft him in the 6th round. He was likely off many teams' draft board. Carolina hasn't signed him to a long term deal for two years even though he's a pro bowl player, instead they franchised him last year.

Lots and lots of reasons to not sign him to a long term deal with upfront or guaranteed money. He may still be suspended part of or all of next year when the nfl completes their investigation. He goes by an alter persona the "overlordkraken" or something stupid like that.

He can play football and he can get to the quarterback.

Stuff that doesn't matter:
