Harrison Ford returns for 'Blade Runner' sequel
Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in a sequel to the dystopian, neo-noir "Blade Runner," more than 31 years after the film first premiered.
Ridley Scott directed the 1982 movie, which was adapted from the Philip K. Dick novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep."

[spoiler]I wonder which version of the story they'll be faithful to? I'd love for the movie to play out not spilling the beans, until you see his replicant "wife" at the end of the film. Thus, still keeping the question of Deckard as a replicant alive.[/spoiler]
I tried to watch it as a teenager, couldn't get through it. I'll have to try again before the sequel comes out.

I guess if your not in to the Film Noir genre it would be a little hard to get through, but it's a classic Sci-Fi adaptation of the genre

I think you'll like it more now. I'm on The fence with it. I hope they will use Fords age in the right way instead of trying to force him to be something he is not in his career.
Ford has gotten to the point where he'll happily retread any of his old characters to get an acting gig. A paycheck is a paycheck.

I really liked him in Ender's Game.
But that was the exception to the rule for him lately.

He was great in 42 as well as Branch Rickey. But, when he or any older actor starts reprising their role as a famous character they've portrayed previously, it's usually more about the money than anything else. Especially when that actor has gotten significantly long in the tooth.
Sean Connery came back and did one last Bond movie with a different production company when he was in his 50's. That was all about the cash when he did Never Say Never Again.
Ford has done this before as well with the last Indiana Jones movie. What a terrible script, but they got the gang back together just the same to cash in one last time on that franchise.
The Star Wars reboot is hopefully the exception. Bringing back the old stars is a smart move for JJ Abrams. If they try to turn him into an action hero again at 72 years old that's going to be painful to watch. I think Abrams is smart enough to recognize that and not go down that path.
