I have this gut feeling that he is going to be a good NFL QB. He just throws the ball really naturally and overall looks the part.
I might be crazy, but damnit that's how I feel.
Anybody else have thoughts on this guy?
I read Bryce Petty is a system quarterback who had to learn how to take snaps under center during Senior Bowl week. He will be the third quarterback selected because it is a weak class at the position, so going before Brett Hundley is not saying much.

Marcus Mariota hasn't taken snaps under center either. Being able to throw the ball is more important than experience with someone handing the ball off to you between his legs. I feel like that is the easier thing to learn.
One would think. I think i'm a bit tarnished now. Every time I here of a spread offense college qb transitioning to the pros, Mr. Gabbert slaps the forefront of my mind

Eh, they're pretty similar, body-type-wise. Petty doesn't see ghosts as bad as Blaine, though. The thing that would scare me about him is medical history with his back.
ESPN radio had Mark Brunell on a couple days ago, and they were discussing Petty. Brunell stated that, although Winston and Mariota had good combines, the best combine QB performance was Petty. He's got a gun and was highly accurate. His summary comment was that Petty deserves to be #3 based on his observation along with comments made to him from others there.
Personally, I never saw Petty play.

I like Petty. If the Jags didn't draft Blake last year I would be all about the Jags grabbing him this year
I am not as high on him as I was last year. To me, he had a really bad Senior Bowl game. His practices were okay, but you could see that he was really uncomfortable in the Offensive system that he was in.
He may turn out to be a good player, but I think it's going to take him a lot of time and effort to get there.
I would take him over Stephen Morris for the 3rd string developmental guy.

Bryce is a poor man's Blake Bortles
he reads the field and makes good decisions, which is the most important aspect for a QB
